Are you a speed buff? Do you absolutely need the best frames per second? How can you determine your performance increase if you cannot effectively measure the Guild Wars client? Here¡¯s how you do it¡ Step #1: Right Click your Guild Wars Shortcut and select properties. Step #2: Add the following line to your gw.exe shortcut target¡ Code: "C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" -perf¡basically, you're just adding a space and -perf to your shortcut target path.
Step #3: Hit OK when you have made the necessary change, then use the shortcut to launch Guild Wars. When you enter the game, you will now see numbers at the top of your Guild Wars screen. Tri stands for the number of triangles¡ or polygons. The higher the number, the more detail is being displayed on your screen. FPS stands for frames per second. A higher number is generally considered a better number, as it means you're getting a smoother performance. Keep in mind, your FPS may be limited by your monitor's refresh rate. Bytes/Sec means the amount of data being transferred. If you see the number 0, you're not communicating with the Guild Wars server.
