I took part in several Hero Battles tournaments recently and noticed the key to success was:



1กใ Capturing shrines.

2กใ Ganking NPCs running to shrines without even thinking about defending themselves.



My suggestions would be:



1กใ Lower the points gained from shrines.



2กใ Modify NPC AI (add a fourth combat mode?) so they can be told to stop and fight when them or their surrounding teammates are attacked and resume movement to their assigned spot only when at 75% life at least.



3กใ Lower the assassin spike ability, killing a monk under 4 seconds is probably what a fantasy assassin should be able to do, but it makes the game rather dull.

This is rather tricky since assassins are nowhere to be seen in GvG battles or Hall of Heroes while they were once popular, how can a profession be completely overpowered 4x4 and not desirable in 8x8?



4กใ Make beast mastery skills only usable when wielding a bow. All imbalances I've seen about Beast Mastery (Rampage as One and now Heal as One come from characters playing Ranger as main profession while wielding the weapon of their secondary profession).



5กใ Allow to destroy shrines so they can't be used by any party for the whole duration of the game. This could be achieved with a neutral NPC at the non-center shrines, or some object you would have to destroy.



6กใ Buff domination interrupt mesmers.

Since the game came out I rarely see mesmers in any form of game using disruption effectively while it should be the most rewarding gameplay because it's the most difficult.

What I would like to see is an interrupt like Power Return which recharges instantly if it didn't interrupt a skill and can interrupt any skill, or better version of Stolen Speed which could at least give mesmer a chance against those 1/4 and 1/2 cast spells.

Talking about elites, Tease should have it's effectiveness greatly increased, up to 500% instead of the 100% we get at 15 Inspiration.



5กใ Lower pet armor to 60 like it was, there is a skill to increase pet armor, it's there for a purpose.





I hope this can be constructive because at the moment 4x4 are not fun IMHO.
