Halo 3 mute problem

So one day I accidentally turned on the "mute all" option from the settings menu (in halo 3), And it works lol, but I am afraid it works too well, because now (even if I turn it off) everyone is still muted.
Anyone had that problem before? The only voice I can ever hear is premade party... Please help, team GAMES are kinda retarded if I have a mic and can't use it.
