Halo Multiplayer Problems (PC version) Can't Post

I downloaded the demo of Halo: OCmbat Evolved and at first it let me play multiplayer online. I downloaded this 3 days ago, so I am not sure whether they have a time limit or not on how much you can use this feature. Whenever I click on Multiplayer, and then click on Internet, it pops this up:

halo cant connect to the network. I need help.

K. I used to get that a lot.

Check your firewall, make sure that Halo PC Demo has full access in and out. Then, in Halo, configure your Internet settings so that they match what you have (like, don't say that you have dial-up when you're on T1, etc).

I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be a time limit problem because when I had the demo a while ago, I was able to play it for as long as I wanted. I think I might have had the same problem, it's hard to remember, but I think I just had to tweak my internet settings like Arkanor suggested. I definitely remember not having to do anything with the firewall, but this could be different.

When it says 'can't connect to the network' it means 'can't connect to the internet'. Thus the firewall could be part of it.

I meant that I didn't have to do anything with MY firewall, wasn't saying that it isn't his firewall. Sorry if I wasn't clear enough.Tongue

Thanks guys. part of it was my firewall and the halo configuration, and the other part was that my internet provider had shut down our internet. I don't know why but once I restarted my comp and did the things you said, it worked. Thanks a bunch. P.S. I also just b ought the game and can't wait for it to get in, that way I can get more maps.
