 This gets all the newbs. Don't be fooled - the scene isn't Halo canon. It's put there by Bungie for [Expletive Deleted]s and giggles, to make Legendary players laugh a little. Johnson got off Halo in a Pelican (now, where the crap did that Pelican COME from, because all Pelicans were supposed to be stowed on the Truth and Reconciliation), and made it back to Earth with MC when the Master Chief, Locklear, Johnson, Haverson, and Polaski stormed the Ascendant Justice to escape from the Threshold System, returned to Reach, picked up the UNSC Gettysburg, blew up the Ascendant Justice, and booked it back home in the patched-up Gettysburg.
