Legendary Mode.	Can't Post

I'm planning to complete Halo 2 on Legendary mode and I was wondering if anyone has any tips on doing it.
Also how hard do you think it will be, maybe a rough estimate of how many people have completed it on this mode.

H2 Legendary is easier than H1 Legendary. And that's just for console version - for PC H1 Legendary is... godly. It's like H2 Mythic. Or harder.

Tips? RUN LIKE A MOTHAFUKKA. Only take down opponents when you have to (i.e. Heretic leader, Regret, Tartarus -- those kinds of enemies. :P). I used the 'run run run' strategy in Halo 1 and it served me well. Also exploit any opportunities, such as the chance to get a Banshee and give everything below you the finger. (Great example of this was in H1, in AotCR. Get a 'shee on the bridge and skip half the level. :P)

I've almost beat all of H1 Legendary, but I'm stuck on Truth. Capt. Keys keeps dieing.

My tips: The plasma guns are your friend. The stun effect will keep them from returning fire. (Which is really bad in legendary)

Also, if you run into an elite or two surrounded by grunts, kill the grunts FIRST. If you try and go after the elites the grunts will just all fire at once and you will be zapped. They also like to throw grenades. Alot of them.

I love doing that. XD.

I've also found you can jump down from special high areas on levels by landing on a really slanted surface. Like the side of a rock. You'll slide off and not take any damage. But if your too high you just die in the fall anyway. =P
It works well on Death Island.

There are a couple example sof that (it's called cliffjumping) that spring to mind.

One is the one that EVERYONE does, in H1 The Silent Cartographer. After you exit the Security Center thing you just jump down the cliff to skip a huge trek. The second is impossible (I think) on the PC version due to increased falling damage, but in the Console version entirely possible. It's in AotCR, and it involves jumping off a bridge and cliffjumping down to join Fire Team Zulu in the valley below (you know, where you see the Pelican descending with the Marines onboard).

There's also one in The Silent Cartographer when you enter the Map Room facility - it's a nearly vertical shaft and it allows you to skip some ramps. Jump in and caroom off the walls. Tongue

I do it mostly on Death Island. I grab the Blue flag and enter the tele, get behind the rock, fall off the cliff and go through the large tunnel with the cloaking device. I can usually find a warthog or something lying around then, if not I just hide in the rocks and ask my mates to pick me up.

well i have a few things to say to you....
1. watch your ass
2. look for snipers
3. be patient
4. be smart

and it will be very difficult it will be as hard as losing about 30 pounds
i have to say that there are about 7 billion ppl on earth and about 1 billion that play..... about only half of those people beat it on legendary

I've recently discovered that it is sometimes better to kill the elite first if easily possible. Killing the elite in a group of baddies will cause the grunts and mabye the jackels to run around screaming for a few seconds.

I wish that whole "running" bit worked because whenever im on H2 legendary i managed to get owned by something i dont see and it makes it almost impossible to beat a level.

I think he means The Other Way. Sometimes its best to retreat once a big wave breaks out and try to "re-enter" the area.
