Contemplating a return.	Can't Post

Well, Summer's about to be over and the parties are done. My new job schedule is a 4pm-11pm so I'll have a lot of time during the day to play and waste time. I'm thinking about coming back to Runescape but I haven't decided what to do. What is there to do and what is the point? I need opinions, I'm thinking of creating a new account but I'm also thinking about resuming my main's goals. Any thoughts?

i started playing a bit more recently..
dont really have any goals or anything.. i just do what ever seems fun at the time, instead of turning a game into a chore Smile

K so heres my thoughts. You need to come back in your spare time, but dont let it become a hassle. PLay on your main. Everyone and their brother wants to be a pure now...

I got back into RS about 2 months ago, but the only thing that interested me was trying to level everything to 99.

In my opinion Runescape is a game of the past. Jagex has done nothing to innovate their gameplay, all they've done from what I've seen in years is update their graphics (Which are still incredibly outdated). When Runescape first came out, the only thing new about it was the fact that you could play with thousands of other players online. Other GAMES offer that now.

I've avoided bashing Runescape as a moderator of this forum, but I really think its a bad game now.

I'm sure other people have different views, and if you have fun playing it, great, but there are better GAMES out there.

i dont mind it just because im super pressed for time any more... and even if i can only pop in for 5 mins a day, thats still enough time to accomplish something... other GAMES, you cant really do that.

I noticed that you capitalized the word 'game' to avoid the stupid link. Neat ^^

The problem with most MMO's is that, for the most part, they don't get updated on a timely manner, which means if you're an endgame character, there's not much else to do but the same thing over and over again.

The developers are talking about more frequent updates, which I actually look forward to seeing. Yeah, the graphics are a far cry from other big MMO's, but then again, you're really not downloading anything or installing anything on your computer that sucks up a huge amount of drive space (as opposed to WoW's 20GB client that I have sitting on El Hard Drive).

All in all, for what it is, Runescape is turning out to be pretty decent. Yeah, eventually I'm gonna quit, and I'm sure a lot of people that are playing it on FGF will end up quitting, but that's what a game's all about - play until you're done with it or until the game ends.

What I would like to see in Runescape is better (faster) response time between the client and server - especially in combat, so there's none of that half-second pause in between actions. Maybe I'll plop that in their forums...

Yeah.. that didn't last very long at all. I played a total of one hour. And I had to actually force myself to complete the daunting task of playing that long. I'm just not that into Runescape anymore.. it's weird because I love the game. Oh well, back to searching for things to waste my time with.
