FoG, hmm, ill tell you what i think.
Garbage..but hey, for a safe PvP game its not that bad, considering F2P got it..(hint, thats shows the kind of effort they've put in)
The rewards are garbage. Other than dragon slayer gloves and the fishing gloves...ALL OTHERS ARE TRASH. Oh and RCing ones are ok, only if you F2P..anyone with like 51 RC need not bother.
But guess what? the items all suck in general because you can even trade the EXP giving ones...Ya, way to go Jagex, make all the useless ones tradable and the useful nontradable. Like seriously, why would anyone want to bother...The robes are just ridiculous, like the battle ones, that require like 1.5k tokens per part...LIKE ARE YOU JOKING ME, ill bet my life that i can work and make double the amount of runes that i would otherwise "save" with using the robes...
The armor gloves are OK for F2P, i mean its not like they got anything better, the price for damaged ones are decent, and the recharge amount for tokens is managable. But for members, UNLESS you havent done Recipe For Disaster, for up until something like rune gloves, these FoG gloves are not too bad, I personally use dragon gauntlets, the str bonus is decent and so is the def, but if you say have Barrows gloves, these is no reason why you should use them (oh i havent done recipe for disaster because i havent done Legends Quest, too lazy and will do it soon so i can do Recipe for disaster all the way through) (oh and dragon gaunts are pretty nice when u match with full dragon and lets say a DFS and whip, so i guess thats part of why i use them).
All in all, a rating?
F2P Review:
Fun: 7/10 ...ya i know ive been ranting on how bad it is, but for F2P i guess its decent, if you know a few more friends, just take them into an empty world and play on your terms with them.
Concept: 2/10 ...so they were aiming to create a fun safe PvP minigame that involved stradegy, well only half right, yes its a safe PvP game, fun? thats up to you, but involving stradegy?! ARE YOU JOKING?! WHAT WERE THEY THINKING!!! IF DEATH TAG/HIDE AND SEEK WITH running around for 10 mins trying to find your target is stradegy for you, then you need to open a dictionary. This would be a bit remedied if they removed those stupid as hell portals, and ridiculous stat lowering garbage, like just PVP and if you kill your guy, it takes them 20 seconds to respawn or something and comes back for charging. Ok well not much stradegy there, but would you rather get some time off to charge your orb, or would you rather try to tank and endure the blasts, those are the decisions that would make the game a bit more fun, if not strategic. Oh and i swear, i once played a game, where i couldnt see my enemy for the whole entire 10 mins. Another problem is being paired up with someone drastically over or under your level. Im lvl 100, and i was paired with a 132....he masacred me in 5-6 seconds while wiht my prayer on...and he was meleeing me with my full torags and fury/ d boots/ d gaunts (yah i dont like wearing other things i just try to make the matches quick and tank them if i can)..Thats a serious flaw that needs to be addressed, and it really criples the game more so than the whole suckage of the game itself overall.
Rewards: 5/10 , some of the EXP gloves can be good for beginners, and the new robes for F2P can be helpful, and the gauntlets are pretty cool to..overall, not too bad for the F2P crowd. But the inability to trade the gloves giving EXP is a real bummer.
Overall: 5/10 Not bad for F2P a nice addition, oh and one thing i left out. I was in F2P to try it for hecks' sake. while running to the FoG cave, a Renevant attacked me, and murdered me..luckily nothing was lost, but nonetheless real annoying. NO REASON TO HAVE THIS THING IN THE WILD...
P2P Review:
Fun: 2/10 I'm sorry, but with the other 20+ miniGAMES or other things i could be doing, this just is not fun. Duel arena? Tournies? Clan Wars? Pest Control? Castle Wars? ....tyvm (oh and a side note, GOD DAMIT JAGEX WTF WERE U THINKING, YOU KILLED PEST CONTROL.. its less rewarding, and it takes more than 2 times the amount of time to finish a match, its [Expletive Deleted]ing ridiculous..not worth playing anymore other than for fun or void knight armor)
Concept: 2/10 ..with all the armors/spells/archery/weapons that members have at their disposal, and added to the ridiculous pairing with someone way over or way under your level, it just becomes more messy, oh and I see alot of members coming now, for some odd reason. A serious other flaw is all the grouping within the center, i dont want to waste 5 seconds trying to find my target, why not make everyone eles other than ur opponent have the normal option like out of FoG, like just walk over them? instead of having the Attack option over everyone.....PLAIN AND SIMPLE, but i guess its too hard for them to be bothered.
Rewards:2/10 EXP gloves like fishing ones rock, and the gauntlets arent too bad, but if you did Recipe for disaster...useless...
Overall:2/10 Im sorry this game is just more crippled for P2P...unfair, and definatley more luck than stradegy...it only deserves more than a 1 because of the gauntles and Fishing and DragonSlayer gloves, and deserves a 2 overall for being a safe PvP as they aim'ed it out to be.
SIDE NOTE: PLZ excuse my spelling, i really didnt spell check, for if its horrid kindly PM me saying it sucks hard and i cant read it.
Oh and another side note...Nice going people, in the polls you voted for a safe PvP instead of a dangerous one, might have has something like the wildy come back, but nope, not your on the official forums shooting yourselves, wondering why wildy has no chance of coming back for SURE now.
Oh and another side note: Members, who are voting in the current poll, and choose Pheonix as the newest summon to be released should be shot in the face. WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT, it will be like some useless other low level summon that looks like a flaming bird like the TzHaar might have. CHOOSE THE DAM SKELETAL WYVERN....wtf having a huge skeletal dragon flying around following u is more cooler than a cliche'd frking flaming bird..
