El Nish's P2P PK Guide for Melee Contents [INT] Introduction [INT] [NAM] Naming [NAM] [LV3] Starting out [LV3] [TR1] Training (1) [TR1] [TR2] Training (2) [TR2] [QUE] Quests [QUE] [TR3] Training (3) [TR3] [PKG] PK'ing [PKG] [WTP] Where to PK [WTP] [KO] KO'ing [KO] [THX] Credits [THX] [INT] Introduction [INT] I taught myself how to PK, and I gradually got better. I have now chosen to pass on my wisdom because I'm nice like that. This guide will teach you to make a good 60 Attack PK'er. There shall be no ripping of this guide please. [NAM] Naming [NAM] You'll want a nice, original name. Nothing like "Purepker2000" - those names are hideous. Imagine you want to be "famous" in the world of Runescape. What d'ya think will get you there, "Magerangex" or something like "13ish 13osh"? The answer is 13ish 13osh. Well then, once you've made your account, and completed Tutorial Island (*sigh*) you'll be able to move on to the next step. [TR1] Training (1) [TR1] Buy Membership on your brand new account. Trade over what you think you will need to it. Once you've done that, head over to the Monastery: Get 40 Attack and around 30 Strength. Good, go on to the next step. [TR2] Training (2) [TR2] Get to Camelot by either getting 45 Magic or using a Teletab. Equip your Rune Scimitar and an Amulet of Strength (and anything else you might want). Your inventory should contain a Teleport and food. Go to the Rock Crabs which is north of Rellekka: Raise your Strength to about 50. Now it's time to do some Quests. [QUE] Quests [QUE] Believe it or not, there are some Quests a PK'er has to do in order to be the best it can. These are: - Lost City - for DDS
- Monkey Madness - for Dragon Scimitar
- Horror From The Deep - for Unholy Book
- Recipe For Disaster - for Mithril Gloves
- Death Plateau - for Climbing Boots
Stuck? Don't know where to start? Here are some good links that will help you: Got all that? Great! You should be looking a little like this: [TR3] Training (3) [TR3] Now you can either go back to Rock Crabs and train your Strength or you can use Pest Control for fast Strength exp. Whichever decision you make, get your Strength to around 75. Then get 31 Prayer. A good way to do this would be to use Dragon Bones on a Gilded Altar with Marble Burners. Feel like PK'ing? Go to the next step. [PKG] PK'ing [PKG] Your stats should be as follows:
- 60 Attack
- 75 Strength
- 1 Defence
- 31 Prayer
You should wear:
- Monk Robes
- Dragon Scimitar
- Amulet Of Strength
- Unholy Book
- Climbing Boots
- Mithril Gloves
- Ring Of Recoil
- Any Cape
- Any Hat
Your inventory should consist of:
- DDS
- Super Attack Potion (4)
- Super Strength Potion (4)
- Prayer Restore Potion (4)
- 24 Sharks
[WTP] Where to PK [WTP] Your PK'er is great for PK'ing in Edgeville. However you can PK anywhere you desire - that's the beauty of 1 Defence; you don't risk much. Varrock Great if you have a small team of peope around your Level. However it tends to be full of one-itemers, so you won't get much loot. Hill Giants To be honest, I don't see the point of PK'ing at Hill Giants on P2P. There's hardly anyone there at all. By all means, you're welcome to try it. Portals Ahh. Perfect for PK'ing with Clans. Nasty for PK'ing by yourself. You don't want to try it unless you've got a good number of people to back you up, or you'll find yourself on the receiving end of some nasty hits. [KO] KO'ing [KO] KO'ing - the downfall of many PK'ers. Here I'll explain how to switch from your Scimitar to your Dagger in the fastest possible way.
- Wait until your opponent's HP is down, hovering your cursor over your Dagger.
- When you think there's a good opportunity to KO them, click your Dagger WHILE your Scimitar hits your opponent.
- Click to attack your opponent again. No, I'm not wrong.
- Click on the Special Attack bar.
If you did it quickly enough, you will use a Dagger Special Attack on your opponent. Keep pressing it to keep using your Special Attacks (each one uses 1/4 of your bar, so you get 4 attacks). [MTH] Method [MTH] Create your own method; be original. For example, I quite like to jump people with Dagger Special Attacks and switch to my Whip if they're still alive. However some people prefer to ask them first. Be as original as you possibly can in an online game. [THX] Credits [THX]
- Zig2ag for the information about when to get 31 Prayer.
