Do you even get the items that they lose? Because

1) If you do, this ruins the purpose of the trade limit. You do and don't. It depends on how much in excess of the 1/3/4 items you have in your inventory. If you have at least 35,000 (I think it's 75,000 for members) worth of excess items and/or coins, you'll get either part or all of the dead guy's items (depending on the 1/3/4 issue of the dead guy), determined either by random or however Jagex does it. If you have less, expect less. One itemers can expect little to nothing for even skulled drops.

And the loot system is really [Expletive Deleted]ed up now, but I believe people will be able to find a way around it, and start real world trading again through the PvP worlds, which will lead jagex to remove the whole system, because they're dumb like that.

look, its SUPPOSED to be there aright? scamming is a vital part of runescape. it simply cannot be as fun without destroying everything some guy on the internet worked/clicked for. THAT is the highest form of entertainment that runescape has ever brought and shall remain so until the end of its time.

okay okay look, if clicking and mining and clicking and fighting and clicking and well whatever else is there to do are the things that let you have fun in this game, then i can bet you havent tried the irrefutable awesomeness of scamming. now -- scamming. it's the most useful technique to make money, but thats not the important part. the important part is the scamming itself. these players/little kiddies/old men/pedophiles have worked/clicked more than a trifle hard to earn such valuables as pixels and images of gold with large numbers next to them. now your job is to snatch it from them. easy, right? au contraire. your job is to think of a smart story, play it out in front of the whole internet, and leave with the prize and no chance of being found out and banned. this is not a simple task and therefore, requires unsimplistic means of executing it. now after trying this and succeeding and distributing the loot to all those who helped you achieve victory, you're feeling great about yourself. you outsmarted some retard on the internet. what are you going to do next?

All you have to do is gain enough trust to get them to give you what you want FREEly and without suspicion (Social Engineering).

Do it without being caught? Of course you'll be caught! However, it's just the matter of delaying it beyond the 1 minute timeframe and whether you were stupid enough to leave any traces of evidence behind (In short, by the time they report it, it's not gonna matter).

If I really wanted to, I could easily scam hundreds of millions and in a way that's within the rules, but what's the point? It's a freaking game.

Anyway, why cash in at someone else's expense - especially when half the people scammed don't deserve it? The kind of mentality you have displayed ruins the fun of the game for the newbies and makes the creators/admins change the game to what it is today, ruining the fun for everybody else.

Apparently, it's a major difference between personal beliefs about this topic, so I just have a few questions to ask you.

If that was the case, why isn't Runescape the way it was a long time before without all the trade restrictions and item drop rules? On another note, if time wasn't put into making things like banning scams and whatnot, every Runescape help board would be flooded with scam posts, including the official forums, and nobody would visit them at all, which, in turn soils the reputation of the game, which eventually kills it very quickly. I understand your point of dumb people getting what the deserve, but there's actually people who are new to the concept of MMORPG or just online gaming altogether.
