I thought some of the new people joining Runescape could use this. It can come in handy. Enjoy. Cook's Assistant ) Start at Lumbridge Castle first floor by talking to the cook. He says he is baking a cake and needs ingredients. 2) You can get the flour by…… a. going and picking a wheat in a wheat field to the west of Lumbridge near Draynor Village b. get a pot near the end of the fence that is between Lumbridge and Draynor Village, which is heading down towards the swamp c. grind the wheat at the mill just north of there, on the road in between Lumbridge and Draynor Village, d. go to the top floor of the mill, e. put the wheat in the hopper, f. then operate the lever, g. then go down to the ground floor and collect the flour in the bin at the bottom floor by using the pot on it. 3) An egg can be found near the chickens at the chicken farm just north of Lumbridge. 4) Milk can be gotten from the cows in the field across from that chicken farm by using a bucket on them. There’s a bucket in the house at the chicken farm there 5) Bring the ingredients back to the cook at Lumbridge castle. ….. a) Bucket of milk b) Egg c) Pot of flour 6) You have finished the quest. Reward: 1 quest point, cooking skill (+3[level 1-4]) and you have access to range in Lumbridge Castle kitchen (additional cooking skill bonus when cooking there) You will be able to use his range after you finish the quest, the range is heard to let you burn the food less times, but some foods can't be cooked on it. Demon Slayer ) Start near the clothes shop (next to the general store in Varrock) by talking to the Gypsy. She will read your palm and start you on the quest to kill Delrith the demon. She will also tell you you need a special Silverlight sword and a spell….“ Carlem, Aber, Camerinthum, Purchai, Gabindo”. 2) She will have you talk to Sir Prysin in the palace in Varrock. He will tell you of the Silverlight sword but will have you retrieve three keys… 1st key 3) Go to the Palace in Varrock. Get a bucket in the kitchen up the stairs, and fill it with water at the sink. Go outside of the back door and theres a drain, examine it and you will see a key. To dislodge it you pour a bucket of water down the drain, then run into the sewer /manhole to retrieve the 1st key which has washed out onto the ground under the pipe outlet near the first rats down in that sewer. 2nd key 4) The other key is gotten by talking to the Wizard “Trailborn” who is located in the Wizards tower 2nd floor which is south of Draynor Village. He asks you to collect 25 bones for him. Make sure you have at least 25 spaces in your inventory and kill 25 Wizards. Pick up all their bones bring 25 bones back to the Wizard “Trailborn”. He will give you the 2nd key. 3rd key 5) The third key is gotten from the head guard Capt. Rovin who is located upstairs in the palace at Varrock. Go in the front door and bear left and go up the ladder in the back left corner room. Capt. Rovin is there in the 2nd floor room with some gaurds. Simply talk to Capt. Rovin and he will give you the 3rd key. 6) Bring all 3 keys back to Sir Prysin who is in that same castle on the 1st floor and he will give you the Silverlight sword NOTE : One thing I noticed is that lately (July 2004) the Silverlight is not tradable, and…if you have one in your inventory you cannot do steps 3 thru 6 and must skip to fight Delrith, this is something new. I had bought one for 1 k and had one in my inventory from before, so I was wondering why I couldn’t do steps 3 thru 6 ! 7) Prepare for the fight. Wear your best armor and bring the Silverlight sword and another stronger sword to use in the fight too. Bring 10 good foods and strength potion if you have it. 8) Head south of Varrock to the Stonehenge rocks where Delrith (lvl27) is. 9) Wield the Silverlight sword and attack Delrith(lvl 27). 10) You only need to hit the demon with Silverlight sword for the first part of the fight, then you may change to any weapon. 11) I was level 27 Combat and easily beat the big Demon. 12) The Gypsy spell which must be said at the end of the battle is…. “ Carlem, Aber, Camerinthum, Purchai, Gabindo”. 13) Kill the demon “Delrith” and you’ve completed the quest. Make sure you run away from stone henge right away so the Wizards don’t kill you. Reward: Silverlight sword, +3 quest points The Silverlight sword is as strong as an iron long Doric's Anvil 1) Talk to Doric in the anvil house northwest of Falador. 2) He asks you to bring him materials for an amulet… 6 clay 4 copper 2 iron 3) Go to the Dwarven mine which is north east of Dorics house, bring your pickaxe and mine those ores. You can get a FREE pickaxe in a hut in the Barbarians village which is due east of Dorics anvil. 4) You can buy these ores in the Dwarven mine if you need to. 5) Bring the ores to Doric and the quest is finished. Reward: 180gp, 1 quest point, mining skill (+2[level 1-3] +1[level 45-46]), and use of Doric's anvils Dragon Slayer In the “Dragon Slayer Quest” you will face “Elvarg” the green dragon of Crandor. It is the one and only time you will be able to kill him. You may want to take a screenshot of the event, this can be done easily while fighting the Green Dragon and saved later up until you turn your computer off. The simple instructions to taking a screenshot are…. 1) hit the “Alt” button and the “PrtScrn” button at the same time 2) later go back to your desktop and open your “paint” program 3) With the paint program opened, under “edit” choose “paste” 4) the screenshot you took will appear, save it to your files Requirements : To start this quest you must have access to Champions Guild (you will need 32 quest points) and you have to finish quite a few other quests to get this many quest points. Items needed : See guide below for details on where to get them….. you will at some point need………………………….... · Anti-Dragon breath shield, (gotten as a part of the quest) · Wizards mind bomb drink, · silk, · lobster cage, · unfired bowl, · maze key,(gotten as a part of the quest) · Law rune, · air runes, · 3 planks, · 12 nails, · hammer, · strength potion, · at least full addy armor and a rune long sword (or better) · at least 18 cooked swordfish, lobbies, or tunas. · 2 to 12 k cash Combat level : Also I recommend you be at least 45 combat level to fight the Dragon. Train on Lesser Demons, when you can beat them easily, you probably can beat the Dragon too. 1) To start enter the Champions Guild south of Varrock…. talk with Guildmaster and ask him about rune platemail. 2) He will tell you to go talk to Oziach who is in a house north of the Barbarian Village. 3) Talk with Oziach he need proof that you are Hero to sell you rune armor. 4) He will tell you you need to get special equipment, a Dragon breath shield in Lumbridge from the Duke. (This shield is necessary because without it you will take 60 hitpoints damage from the dragons breath) 5) Go to Lumbridge to the castle, upstairs the Duke will give you the Dragon breath shield. 6) Go back to Oziach. 7) He will tell of a map that is broken into 3 pieces. The first being in Melzars maze, to which he will give you a maze key. 8) 1rst map piece ……..go to Melzars maze, which is west of Port Sarim. Enter the door on the east side. The Maze is a series of keys. Map Piece One in Melzars Maze. You must collect keys from each enemy you meet, only one will drop the key your after. Red Key: A Rat that respawns in the South Western most corner, and the door to use is the North Western most one. (Rat Combat: 13) Orange Key: A Ghost that respawns South West of the latter, and the door is the one directly North of the spot on the opposite side of the railing to the latter, the middle door. (Ghost Combat: 25) Yellow Key: Skeleton the respawns the most South, and the door is all the way to the South West. (Skeleton Combat: 31) Blue Key: Southern most Zombie(lvl 32), northern most door. Magenta Key: Melzar the mad(lvl 45) drops this automatically and use it on the north door. Green Key: Lesser Demon(lvl 82) drops the key automatically and use the door on the north wall then open the chest for your 1rst map piece. 9) Map piece 2- First go to the Oracle on Ice Mountain, just West of the Black Knights Fortress. 10) The Oracle will tell you about the Hidden city in Dwarven Mines, and four items you must use to open the door 11) Gather the four items… a. Wizard's Mind Bomb- may be bought in the bar in Falador, b. Silk- which can be bought in the clothing store in Varrock, c. Lobster Pot- which can be bought in Port Sarim at Gerrant’s fish store, and d. Unfired Bowl- which is made from clay which you soften by using water on it, then turning it on the potter’s wheel in the Barbarian village where the pottery Kiln is. You need a crafting level of 7 to make a bowl, but it doesn’t take long to raise your crafting levels. 12) The secret door is in the Dwarven mine in the northeast corner, before the area that is filled with Scorpions and the Mining Guild to the left. - Use the 4 items on the door, once inside get the 2nd map piece out of the Chest. 13) Map 3rd piece- A goblin named Wormbrain has the 3rd map piece. He is in the Port Sarim jail. Now there are 2 ways to get the Map piece from him…. Method # 1 (now Available !)…..Since the update the Runescape team has made it available to get the 3rd map piece by talking to the goblin Wormbrain in the Jail and buying it for 10k ( this will save you having to train up your magic to lvl 33 for the Telekinetic Grab) Method # 2 ( the way it used to be on RS1)….is to kill the goblin Wormbrain by a crossbow and or rune spells. He drops the map and to retrieve it. You need to use the Telekinetic grab spell (lvl 33 magic) to get it. Increase your magic level by casting a lot of magic spells to get it up to lvl 33…. a) invest in an Air Staff in Zaff’s staff shop in Varrock for 1500 gp, which gives you infinite Air runes. b) Then buy a bunch of mind runes, this will allow you to cast a lot of wind strike spells. I also recommend getting water runes, and fire runes, c) then wearing a Sapphire Amulet of Magic, a wizards robe and hat to increase your magic ability and cast more spells successfully. d) Go to the Port Sarim jail and shoot at the monsters in the cells, they wont be able to return the attack and you can just keep casting spells. Once you are ready with a crossbow and lvl 33 magic and air runes (or Air staff) and law runes ( for the telekinetic grab) go to the jail in Port Sarim where Wormbrain is and kill him in the cell. He is very easy to kill, I killed him with only 2 fire strikes, although I may have caught him half dead having been attacked by someone else. Then use the Telekinetic grab spell to get the 3rd map piece. 14) Then put the pieces of the map together to make a whole map. 15) Then go to port Sarim and talk to the guy in fron of the lady Lumbridge, and buy the Lady Lumbridge ship for 2000 gp. 16) The guy who sells you the ship tells you need planks and nails to fix it. 17) Planks are in the graveyard in the Wilderness. Guarded by Level 34 zombies. And beware, other players are there, too! So be careful. Also in wilderness on East side level 16 where the Ghost house is, there’s a lot of planks lying around. In either case, you need exactly 3 planks. If you are a member, there are planks on the ground near the Barbarians Outpost which is just north of the Waterfall and Almeras house 18) Nails: To make nails you need to be smithing level 34. Then you can make 2 nails out of 1 STEEL bar. You need exactly 12 nails. Also nails are sold by the Royal Armor Company just contact SteveJT 19) When you have 3 planks and 12 nails, and don’t forget a hammer, go to the Lumbridge Lady and board her. 20) You will find yourself in the hull of the ship. Use the 3 planks one after another on the hole. 21) Then you need a sailor. Ned (The one who makes rope and wig in Prince Ali Rescue.) lives in Draynor Village. Go talk to him. He will agree to take you to Crandor and says to meet him at the port. Go to the Port and just board the Lady Lumbridge. 22) Before you bring the following things with you ……… a) Anti Dragon breath shield, b) your strongest armor ( note: wear only 3 expensive things, like rune legs, rune chain, rune battle axe, in case you die you will not lose anything valuable), c) a useful yet inexpensive Amulet like and Emerald Ammy of Protection, or a Ruby Amulet of Strength d) about 18 cooked swordfish, and e) Strength potion. 23) I recommend you be about combat level 45 to 50 to fight the dragon although if you are clever you may be able to beat him if you are a lower level. 24) As you sail to Crandor Isle, you land upon rocks, which damage the ship. 25) The island is filled with Level 31 Skeletons with Shields and Scimitars, Level 36 King Scorpions, Level 32 Hobgoblins, Level 62 Moss Giants, and a Level 76 Lesser Demon. Avoid these and run past them, as you need to save all your health and food for Elvarg the Green Dragon. 26) After you go around the island and find the stairs you venture down into the dungeon under Crandor. 27) Run past 5 or 6 Level 54 Skeletons. 28) The door to the Dragon Room is on the left in the first hallway you encounter. 29) Take a second and ………. a) get to full health, b) check and make sure you are wielding the Anti Dragon breath shield, and c) make sure you drink your Strength potion before you enter the room. 30) Enter through the door and the Dragon will attack you immediately. No one else can enter in and help you kill this Dragon, it is a one man (or woman) quest and you must kill him yourself. 31) The Dragon is very dangerous at Level 93. 32) Make sure you are wielding the Anti Dragon breath shield or you will soon be Dragon fried, sometimes in a panic you remove it accidently, be sure you don’t. 33) Be ready to eat high healing foods (Swordies or Lobsters) because cake or pie won’t work, because you can eat the Swordie in one bite and get a lot of healing, but with pastry it takes 2 or 3 bites to consume the whole thing. Prayers and Ranged DO NOT work on the Dragon 34) Make sure you eat when you are no more than half dead. 35) After you kill the Dragon, you are teleported out of the Dragon's Lair back into the Hall with the Skeletons after you defeat the Dragon. 36) Go past the 4 Lesser Demons and go through the secret door, you will be in the Karamja Lava Cave on Karamja Island, find your way out up the rope to the south and go to safe territory. 37) Congratulations! You have slain your first Dragon! Rewards: You can buy and wear "Rune platemail". from Oziach for 84.5 k. 2 or more quest points You receive 15k exp for defence and 15k exp for strength no matter what you use , and then also now you can enter the Lava cave on Karamja Island and go through the Odd Looking Wall by pushing it and go to Crandor Ilse anytime you want now. Ernest the Chicken In the “Dragon Slayer Quest” you will face “Elvarg” the green dragon of Crandor. It is the one and only time you will be able to kill him.
