Here's a link to Version 1 of the German Hunter Guide: -CLICK-
[Introduction] - [INT] So... you want to get 99 Hunter? Well... contrary to popular belief, it’s not as easy as it seems. The early stages are the hardest, hell... everything up to 80+ can be awkward unless you’ve got patience. This guide is designed to cater for low leveled skillers and those with combat so please disregard any information that does not relate to you, eg: If you have a combat level of 3 then please ignore the recommended quests.
[Index] - [IND] If you use Internet Explorer or Firefox then press Control + F and search for a specific part of the guide for faster access to the information you require. (Eg: Type [SEC1] to take you to Section 1)- Introduction - [INT]
- Index - [IND]
- Section 1 - [Sec1]
- Section 2 - [Sec2]
- Section 3 - [Sec3]
- Section 4 - [Sec4]
- Section 5 - [Sec5]
- Misc. Info - [MI]
- Recommendations - [REC]
[SECTION 1] - [Sec1] [Level 1 - 9] To get yourself started, grab 2 bird traps just in case you lose one to a random event. Teleport to Castle Wars using a Ring of Dueling (fastest method to get close to the Hunter area and there's a bank). Then make your way South past the Zogre Flesh Eaters quest starting area, And head down to the South-Eastern side of the Feldip Hills. Or if you've completed the One Small Favour quest then you can get a gnome glider ride to the Feldip Hills from any gnome glider location. Once you're at the beach, set-up 1 bird trap and do this to level 9.

[SECTION 2] - [Sec2] [Level 9 - 35] The next part of your Hunter journey takes you to the top of the Piscatoris Hunter area, go to the North-Western area as shown in the image below. To get there head North-West from the Tree Gnome Village or Fishing Guild, it's West of the falcon hunting ground. Begin by setting up traps as shown below and hunt Copper longtails, once you have the ability to Hunt Ruby harvests then capture them while trapping birds, tend to their traps then go off and fill your jars with butterflies and return to collect your birds. Keep doing this until you reach 35 Hunter.

[SECTION 3] - [Sec3] [Level 35 - 43] Okay, well done, you've done the slowest and most tiresome part of your early Hunter stage. To raise it even more you must travel all the way to the Trollweiss Hunter area, located North-East of Rellekka, it's quite easy to find. For this part you must hunter the Snowy knight butterfly, use the exact location shown in the image below, Hunt these until you reach 43 Hunter. Recommended Inventory:
Recommended Equipment:
[SECTION 4] - [Sec4] [Level 43 - (63-80)] Good job, you've managed to make it past the most irritating and constant relocating point of your Hunter adventure, now to move onto things that give you proper xp, you haven't got much to do until you're sitting there hunting one creature all the way to 99. For the next part take yourself to the Piscatoris Hunter area (the place you visited in SECTION 2) and enter the falconry field. It's located to the eastern part of the area, surrounded by a fence. Go in and un-equip and weapons or gloves and rent a falcon from Matthias for 500gp. Then begin catching Spotted kebbits all the way to 57. After 57 move onto Dark kebbits, stick with these until level 63+ (I'd suggest not to start Red chinchompas straight away, but that's up to you, anywhere from 63-80 you should start them, it all depends on your ability to focus. NOTE: 63-80 is 5000 Red chinchompas. The below image gives you a visual idea of what to expect. Recommended Inventory:
Recommended Equipment:
[SECTION 5] - [Sec5] [Level (63-80) - 99] I'm sure getting to (63-80) was tiresome... but it was quit basic and straightforward, from here on it's just one creature that you must hunt to 99. The Carnivorous chinchompa. If you want some kind of profit and don't want to have to constantly bank then you'll hunt these from (63-80)-99. They give 265 xp each. Teleport to Castle Wars using a Ring of Dueling (fastest method to get close to the Hunter area and there's a bank). Then make your way South past the Zogre Flesh Eaters quest starting area, keep going until you come to a black area where the in-game landscape ends. Head east from here until you come to an open green area filled with little red rats. Or if you've completed the One Small Favour quest then you can get a gnome glider ride to the Feldip Hills from any gnome glider location. Here's a picture of the area and how I lay out my traps.

[Misc. Info] - [MI]
- If you're lucky you could rake in 35-44m cash profit from 80-99 selling these, depending on how much you sell them for.
- None of the creatures are aggressive, the only thing to watch out for is is you're pitfalling the three creatures that give you their furs. They will attack you but hit them with the Teasing stick then jump over the trap and hopefully they'll get caught, if not then just run out of sight. They range from level 40-60. Apart from that, nothing else is a risk to a level 3.
- At level 99 you could gain on 90-110k Hunter xp per hour catching Red chinchompas.
- You should Hunt in Low-Detail, as the tall grass can limit your view and reduce your xp gain, your game will also run slightly faster as a result.
[Recommendations] - [REC] I suggest having the following quests completed before you begin the Hunter skill: (unless you're a low-leveled skiller) Easier access to Trollweiss Hunter area Access to Gnome gliders Access to Spirit tree teleportation Access the Ardougne teleport spell Access to Feldip Hills via Gnome gliders
