He wants people to like him, and make them feel as if hes not just a normal game CEO. A lot of the current game companies that have had success over the years are the companies that listen to their players. In the past Jagex was a company who completely ignored what their players wanted, and hes trying to make it clear that he wants to change that.

A lot of kids play Runescape, and hes going to talk the way you would talk to kids. He knows a lot of the older gamers play GAMES like WoW, Warhammer, Guild Wars, and LotR Online, and theres no way they'll leave their GAMES for Runescape. So I doubt hes even going to try.

I have nothing to complain about the guy though, he seems like a genuinely nice guy. I think if anything, he'll make Runescape a much better game.

Dude Jagex did everything for Runescapers in the beginning. Maybe Andrew became an asshole later, but in like 2002, they were constantly sending stuff in the inboxes about suggestions and bug reports and stuff.

At 21 you would be on your first year of a carreer, granted you went straight from uni/college into work. So hes at least 35 or something. Which is still pretty young to be a CEO, I mean its the highest position at a company, you cant just fall into it.

Screwing up staking had nothing to do with autoing. They did so to stop people from using staking to trade gps. Though your idea looks pretty reasonable, it does not stop gp trade. For example, a guy has one million, and he decides to buy another million. So he and the gp seller will both stake one mill (and of course, the buyer will win the duel, and thus a mill).

Actually around like ten thousand. 2001 was when it was down to about 70 and that's when he PM'd literally everyone about bugs and stuff, but you get the idea. Anyway, after his game got off the ground, Andrew stopped caring. He was the best Jagex member ever.
