Yeah you should definitely pick up impact if you plan on pvping, its a big part of being a fire mage, and can literally save you a death.

As a ret paladin, you cant get away from me (unless your stupid enough to blink, ask why thats stupid plz), impact is the only thing that can stop me from attacking you.

I've respecced to frost since that picture. Artcic Winds is getting buffed to give 5% +damage to Frost spells, so I took it over Winter's Chill.

I use Blink for HoJ, and IB for Repentance.

I've been doing a crapload of arenas (Most of them 1v1 or 1v2, yay server balance) and I was only Fire for about 4 days before I got my Frozen Shadoweave. I'm staying Frost for raiding Kara too, even though I probably shouldn't, but what the hell, Frost will be easiest as a mage tank versus High King Maulgar in Gruul's Lair.

Actually no, you see using BOF and cleanse, you cant escape unless you blink.
AFTER you blink, i catch up and stun you for 6 seconds of hitting you, and your a mage.
A good ret paladin saves repetence for healing.

Hiyather, the mage i wanted you to look at, is in spirestones second best guild, and hes frost.
Frost can raid really well.

Blink is not a frost spell, so it will not reset the cooldown on blink.
Also, 10 min cooldown for 1 fight means it wont be up for the next 10, lol.

You can iceblock but if you iceblock i heal, if you try to come out and counterspell, i fake my heal, then i get 30 seconds of FREE healing.

...not to mention if you use ice block i will bubble at some point in the duel.

why not actually have this fight instead of saying how it would go.

Thats SUCH a waste of a counterspell though

And its not like you can burst me down i'm sitting on 8.9k health.

IF your ice, you should really have alot more health to put that survivability to use, Ice Barrier doesnt matter if you only have 6k health.
I can burst that down in 3 autoattacks (including a crusader strike and SoC proc)

Your doin alright gearwise, but your itemizing like a fire mage.
Get stamina, your frost, weaker crits and weaker spells are worth having 8k 9k health, its impossible to kill you, and you still hit hard period

Your not trying to kill the opponent straight up, your trying to control the fight as much as possible.
