Need a little help Can't Post
I'm good with Mages, but there's a little problem...

On a good day, I have a 1000 - 2000 Latency. I average 1700+ Lat on average. I need help with this thing.

What is a good spec for a level 52 Mage (PvP) with this kind of Lat? I'm running with Frost and Arcane (5 Arcane / 0 Fire / 37 Arcane), but I want to know if I can dish out daage a little quicker.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

Well this is my first time breaking into a mage's spec I just know these from being on the wrong end of a pyroblast but try.

5/5 imp fireball
5/5 fireblast
1/1 pyroblast
2/2 incenerate
3/3 imp flamestrike
3/3 Burning soul
1/1 blast wave
2/5 imp scorch
3/3 crit mass
5/5 Fire power
1/1 combustion

that's for fire now the last I reccomend go in Arcane as.

5/5 imp arcane missiles
5/5 arcane concentration
5/5 imp arcane explosion
1/1 evocation
2/2 imp coutnerspell
2/2 imp mana sheild



This is just one I thought off the top f my head that looked like it could do some burst damage so don't shoot me if you hit pretty low I haven't played mage much this is just a hypothesis.

I know a good damage combo would be the following:

If you're gonna take Pyroblast, Presence of Mind is needed...

Polymorph
Presence of Mind (Makes any spell with less than a 10 sec casting time instant for <Fergot> secs)
Fireball
Pyroblast
Fire Blast
Flame Wave

You'll be doing a few thousand damage (if you're level 60) by the time your target gets to recover with that setup. Not bad! Now, if I can muster up the gold to respec...

Yeah, fire is the best spec for PvP mages, and overall damage. This one fire mage in my guild did too MUCH damage on a Rag run, like 6000 crits, and he got all of the aggro off the MT. Frost spec is best for end game i believe

Yea presence of mind is good, but when you're in the back of AV with 10 other casters/hunters you don't really have to worry about casting time.
