Hi I love my nintendo please don't let it die Can't Post

My old 64. God, how I love it. The thing is, I just tryed to turn it on and all, but instead of working and stuffs, I heard a strange noise, and then, I felt this strange smell of burned plastic and almost started to cry.

Anyways, I calmed my self and started smelling it, to see if the console was smelling or if the power supply was smelling. Well, I took it off and a smoke rose up. I smelled it, and it smells like burned plastic. As for the nintendo, it isn't smelling but... oh, I have no Idea of what to do so, help plese?

unplug it and leave it for a while, on a non static conducting surface, try again later.

you arent using a pal=>ntsc converter (or vice versa), are you?

Jump out of bed as soon as you hear the alarm clock!! You may also find it useful spending five minutes each morning saying to yourself "Every day in every way I am getting better and better."

there dirt cheap and chances are you used a too powerful power supply on it, just cause it fits does not mean its the right voltage, witch would of fried it thus causing the smoke and crap, i did this on a much more expensive wireless router exactly the same smoke and fizzing,

Ofcourse you are now reading my sig

Nope.

@Jindrak - They are 150 bucks here, pal.
@Mercer - I've used this same power supply ever since I got the nintendo.

I don't have CC, my mom won't let me use her.

Is it possible to buy only the power source?

You can probably get a used N64 for about the same as a new AC adapter, and thats somewhat of a specialty part, you'd probably need to order it through a website of some kind (aka using a CC)

There's no point about buying a new nintendo, as the power source blowed up, not the console. Thanks for the help, I'll just look for a new supply.
