PS2 Lag. Can't Post
Hey, recently when I try to play large GAMES (Like Sims GAMES) my PS2 gets this incredible amount of lag. Which is really puzzling me. Any ideas how to make it run smoother?

Seriously though, Playstation can't run any faster than it does already, and if you don't want to lag, then your going to have to play on a different console/the pc or a next gen...

PS3 won't come out for a long time, Xbox 360 looks like it is going to blow beyond proportion, and I used to own a gamecube, sold it because most of the GAMES are complete [Expletive Deleted]. I've played Xbox many times (It's the ultimate for shoot-em-ups so I play a lot at parties) and I get lag there too. Any other suggestions? Tongue

Complete [Expletive Deleted]? I would keep my GC if I only had Super Smash Bros Melle and nothing else.

Are you playing all these consoles on a wall jack that is powering many things/has low voltage? Also are you playing them online, because your internet could just be [Expletive Deleted].

lag on a ps2 mainly has to do with the laser skipping and it trying to keep going on an Xbox lag is from the hardrive being really full so sometimes it will lag badly

I had the same prob but when i put my ps2 on its side it worked fine Shocked

I dont have a clue why it does Unsure

its a laser problem then you should open up your ps2 and just change were the laser sits a little becouse thats your problem if it works ok on its side
