Please help major ps2 problem Can't Post

My ps2 was accidentally dropped by one of my friends.

Since then it will only play psone GAMES and it'll only read normal music cd's.

I have tried cleaning the lens with the Q-tip and Rubbing alcohol en adjusting the voltage of the lens but unfortunately it still won't play ps2 discs or dvd's.

Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

tnx, Tiro

The BIO chip may have ben damaged. But if it was I don't think it would play ps1 GAMES. But maybe it would cause I think that is only PS2 bios. Or other parts of the Laser could be damaged.

There are two different chips for PS1 GAMES and PS2 GAMES the DVD chip is the PS2 one.

All that happend was the chip eather got unpluged or detached from the wire plug the chip back in or if the wire got pulled salder it back in
