Trouble with Swap Magic 3.6 Plus

I recently got Swap Magic 3.6 Plus, I started it and I got disc read errors, then I tried a normal DVD game and it loaded without disc read errors, I have to wait and wait until my PS2 can read Swap Magic 3.6, after it loads up, I have to do a TOC refresh since Swap Magic makes all my GAMES slow, next I swap my game and put in a copied one, I press X to do a normal boot, and then it tells me to please insert a format PS2, I try it with square(special boot) and the screen becomes black.
Any suggestions?
