Something is wrong with my Ps2. I went to Rugby 2005 and it keeps making this clicking noise and FREEzes.
Does anyone know Unsure

a harddrive in a ps2 in non-esistance i know of 3 people in a comunity of millions who have used that exspansion port and The prob;em could be any thing from your laser to you disk but by the sound it looks like your game is scrathed alot

UHm. No. You can very well use a HD on a PS2. You can use it to store GAMES on it instead of loading it slower from a disk. You just have to buy the disk to set it up right for the PS2.

i know what you can do with a hardrive i have a Xbox i know alot oabout console mod and repair not many hard drives are compatialbe with ps2s

omg... your dumb, the sony playstating company sells hard drives for the ps2, it used to come with the final fantasy game, i dont know if you can buy it sepretly now

there was only one compatiable hardrive which was way over priced not that much space and would void your warrenty if u fitted it so dont call me a dumbass

This is a common problem and occurs in the same fashion as the ps2. But the ps2 is easier to fix. For the ps2 user who's having this problem check the sticky at the top of the page about the laser fix. Now the Xbox user you have the same problem but more complicated because of the way you remove the case. Search online for some Torx screw drivers you need Torx 10 and 20. Now remove your pads on the bottom and there should be 4 screws under them. Unscrew them using the Torx screw drivers and depending on your Xbox version there should be a DVD drive to your left. Also depending on your Xbox version the top of the drive should slide off or unscrew then just clean lens as if it was a ps2 Reassemble Then your Finished. Reply back if you have any problems.

It happens with the PS1 also i think it must be that some part on the motor must have somthing with it.... Replace the motor but if that doesent work, I dont know just live with it i guess.
