Come to think of it, the first console I played was at my gran's house - it was old console of my considerably older cousins; the Sega Master System.

Man, Sega Master System.

Alex Kidd, Golden Axe Warrior - that system had some gems. Could've given the NES a sound ass-kicking.

For me is: Nekketsu monogatari... or something (AKA Kunio or Downtown).
How ever i really like the Rockman (Megaman) and contra series too.

Guardian Legend was a rockin' good NES game back then and still is! Might I suggest trying it? Also, try the original Final Fantasy 3 (Yes, NES had FF3)!

I think i had most fun with the Legend of Zelda... However i liked Mario too :(
