No, seriously? Gold and Silver were king. Having a day/night and day of the week system was awesome enough, but the drastic addition to the replay value was what ruled. You can finally battle certain Trainers again (it gets perfected in Firered/Leafgreen with the VS Seeker, which is basically Vishnu in a little machine) and you can go back to Kanto and get the original 8 badges again. And then go fight the main character. How awesome is that? Really. Really freakin' cool.

Crystal was even better because you finally had the Trainer Tower, adding even MORE replay value.

Yeah, it was the first game I ever bought with my own money too. I still play Crystal more than any of my other games. =D

Yeah, they were amazing. I had Silver version, and I was addicted for a looooong time. So awesome. But any new versions after Gold and Silver, I never got. I wanted to get Crystal, but I s'pose I never got to it.

Yellow: 74 (3.08 days)

Ruby: 22 (0.91 days) (I just did a speed run for this one, just so I could trade the exclusives to sapphire)

So in total I have spent 46.485 days playing pokemon. Thats about 12% of a year, and .007% of my entire life, spent playing pokemon. Cool

Even more really, because I've restarted quite a few times.
