Basically, what I was thinking was we'd all start on the same day--next Monday, and see how far we can get. not only how far we can get (since some of us [*whistles innocently*] may stay up 50 hours straight just to beat it ahead of everyone else), but also how good we can do.
The competition will start up on Monday, and run through Friday. On Monday, we restart our Pokemon Red or Blue cartridges OR ROMS (so trade off any Pokemon that ya wanna keep), and start over. no trading in your uber Pokemon or trading Pokemon in for Pokedex entries.
Each day, we post how far we've gotten, and what we've done. your post can be as long or as short as you want
But we need some important stats:

Belt Team levels: (don't need to know the Pokemon if you don't want us to; we just need to know if you're going for the balanced approach or the OMG UBER Pokemon and 5 peons)

How Trades are handled:
If you trade in a Pokemon from another Gen/game that you just WANT to have, please have the Pokemon at a low level. If you have a Pokemon that's traded in and getting the 1.5xperience, please denote that it is a traded Pokemon.
Also, when you're reporting your Pokedex, please go like this:
Pokedex: # seen, # caught (# trades) so we know how many you got just from your cartridge alone.

On Friday Evening, whoever can be online (and has Netbattle) can duke it out with their final Pokemon team, levels, and attacks.

for those who don't know, Netbattle is a PC battle simulator. it can simulate any generation up to RSE (not sure about DP). No battle animations, but we can test our mettle.

Do you not own Red or Blue but still interested? Feel FREE to start over on another generation.
But FR/LG doesn't count for this. there's just way too many differences. held items, IV/EVs, etc. not to mention the abilities.
If you wanna try this on GSC/RSE/DP, feel FREE. If there are enough of you in your generation, then you can have your own championship match!
In fact, I'd like to see us have four of these every year, eventually. One for each generation. every four months, would be sweet.
