Buying a notebook. Can't Post
It will mostly be used for school. I'll need around 20 gigs of memory for music. And another 10 or so for school. I also need adequate space for when I buy WoW (with the addition of expansion packs, etc.). And we'll throw in another 5 or 6 just for extra stuff. The price range is anywhere from $350-$600.

And I also have a question about the wireless internet. From my understanding most modern notebooks come pre-installed with built in a wireless LAN. Does that mean whatever laptop I get, that has a wireless capability, will require fees every month? Or would I have to pay a monthly fee like I'm doing now with my cable modem?

Keep in mind that I will not be buying from eBay. I also need something with a GeForce or NVIDIA graphics card.

Most of the newer laptops come with a wireless modem, so you can technically drive around neighborhoods looking for open connections and using those, it's FREE :D, no monthly payments for a modem. If you buy a wireless router, you can set up a wireless network from your main desktop, and allow you to sit on your porch and surf.

I got mine off of Ebay, 40 gig HD, 2.8Ghz, 1.12gb of RAM, NVIDIA 32mb Graphic Card for 400$
Oh, and you could sell your PS3 and get a better one. Faggot.

Additionally, if you're a college student you can get a FREE iPod with it, which is still a FREE $200 on eBay if you don't want it.

I remember a friend buying a 400USD dual core with 2GB RAM.

Apparently it was made with factory reject parts...

To hell with that, get a simple usb mouse, cordless if you want, but a lot cheaper with a cord. Just get a two-button + scrollwheel mouse.
