Torrents and xdcc are all I use.

I've heard dc++ is extremely good though.

I use the standard BT, and BitComet, but I dunno there's a bunch of stuff that won't download.

You have to make sure the torrent has lots of seeds and peers. Other people have to keep the file open for you, or else there won't be a place to download the file from.

Yeah, I'm aware of that, but most of my stuff downloads right away. Recently, I have been downloading some more "exotic" stuff, that takes a while to get going, so I'll have to look for files with more seeds and what not.
