Nothing is wrong with integrated graphics. It is just not as good as other cards.

Routhy, what are you planning to do with this lappy?

What GAMES?
Unless it's something like Starcraft, I suggest upgrading the card.

C&C RA2 + generals, battlefield 2 and halo 1 pretty much.

That's a good laptop for the price, but probably not good for GAMES. I might be able to run UT2004 or Killer 7 or even Halo on that thing, but since I don't know much about the integrated video or if it's one of those upgradeable modules, I can't really give a yes or no.

It's only temporary anyway, my old laptop broke and using my mums computer makes me want to tear my face off, I'm getting a whupass desktop PC later in the year.

If it's only temporary, save the cash and add it to the new PC budget, y ou will get more value out of your collective dollar.

I doubt you will be running Battlefield 2 or even Halo on that thing.

My mums PC is a half decade old and probably doesn't have more than a few weeks life left in it.

I played halo on a Dell inspiron 1000 (£400 about 2 years ago) I would tell you the specs but I don't know them and since the laptops broken, I can't check, but I'm sure this new laptop will play halo.

I don't know about Battlefield 2, but I get decent performance in Halo on my 800MHz Pentium III with 384MB of RAM and a 128MB Radeon. This lappy has better specs. Thus, Halo works.

Not that it'll work well, the piece of crap. Just save up for a desktop; laptops are overrated anyway.

Give it the ole' kick in the shins.

I used my old computer for over 10 years. You just have to give it some attention. I used to reinstall Windows ME on it every month or so...

Things were cool before you said "Windows ME."

Friggin' upgrade to 2000; it has a spectacular RAM tolerance (32MB up to 4GB) and runs awesomely even on wimpy little Pentium II processors. Anything to get away from that Milennium crap.

That's why I got a new computer. (EDIT* link: http://forum.free-games.com.au/cgi-bin/gforum.cgi?post=887500)

You have no idea how awesome it is to have a Dual-Core after using that shit.

Clickety clack, you got one of them super small form factors. Typical for Xbot to make fun of the hard drive space, he gets like 5 500GB hard drives every holiday.

Screw you guys and your high end computers, I near wet my pants when I got a 300$ HP Pavillion that runs like a dream. SOOO Much better than my PII 733, 15gb HD.

EDIT: I still use my Win95 machine to play starcraft and Diablo I, it is relaly old and still runs better than the PII, with a whopping 200mb hard Drive.

My step brother spent £1700 ($3400) on a top of the range desktop last year, I drove Xbot nuts by pointing out that the pc I was on was superior to every single pc he owned (With the obvious exception of hard drive space)

Edit: Insanely expensive computer:

I actually learned a ton more trying to use what I have instead of just buying more. Trying to eke out enough power to play Starcraft online from my PI was certainly fun.

... And who uses firewire? I sure don't.

You will definitally be able to run Halo, but BF2? I ran it on a similar card, it was ok, but nothing close to the card I have now. I forgot what it is though.

Either way, I hate playing GAMES on laptops. The keyboard feels different, and I have to attach a mouse because I can't aim with that fingerpad.

I know. I like the challenge of working with limits.

The camcorders at my school do, but besides that they're only popular on Macs, for obvious reasons (it's their proprietary port).
