No sound.	Can't Post

No sounds at all comming from my computer, its been working fine for about 2 years. Now headphones, speakers nothing. Just no sound, i have "ac97 realtek", I've downloaded 2 new drivers nothing helped. [Expletive Deleted] this sucks help?

Are you sure they are the right drivers?

I believe this is what you need (presuming you use windows).

Ive downloaded, A396, A398 AND A399. You sure A397 is the fix?

No idea, that's what I used. Did you use something like WDM_Installer.exe last time?

If you've an older HP computer (i.e. a Pavilion) then you might have gotten one of those frakked up cards that's both a modem and a soundcard. I remember that in my old Pavilion when I was adding some more RAM I brushed the modem/soundcard and promptly disabled both my internet and sound. This was fixed by just pushing it down and wiggling it.
