Yes. IE and swift switch's browser. In fact, my account is the only one where FF doesn't work. My sis is not having problems with it.

Make a fresh account, then. Sometimes these things act mysteriously. Oftentimes I get mysterious errors when I try to boot into a live CD, but if I keep rebooting incessantly it'll start working for some reason.

I'd rather to stick with IE than to create a new account and... okay, I don't need to explain. Btw since you are here, [Expletive Deleted]ing itunes won't read [Expletive Deleted]ing Ipod what's going on

At least install Netscape or the Safari beta or something. Just...just don't use IE.

Oh and don't ask me about iTunes. I used that program when it was version 5 or 6 and I hated it then. If I wanna manage a media device I'll use Winamp or Amarok.

Re: [lo1] Problems with firefox [In reply to] Can't Post

There are only two good reasons you could have not to make a new account, the first reason being that it's too much work.

Steps to creating a new account:

1. Delete a folder.

... never mind that's not a good reason

Second reason being that you would lose all your bookmarks, which sticking to IE would not fix unless you have a copy of your bookmarks there in which case they would be automatically imported to your Firefox account again anyway.

so basically there is no good reason

and stop using itunes

K. Anyways, there are several other things I would lose. Things that don't concern you.

and I don't know what other program I can use.

Shut up retard. Amarok, Winamp, Songbird, and MediaMonkey ALL support iPods. Not a single player that doesn't support iPods has been mentioned in this thread. So get the hell out you stupid foreigner.

Shutup white boy. I'm the one who's actually TRIED any of those third party programs. They're all buggy. Last time I tried using Songbird I had to have my iPod reset. Re-loading 70gigs of shizzle was NOT fun.

Exactly, you are ONE. You can't speak for the millions of satisfied users each of those apps hold nor can you speak for the millions dissatisfied with iTunes. Now go away.

From a consumer point of view all I have are my experiences. You have none. Shutup.

And so far I haven't found anything too bad about iTunes. It works perfectly with my iPod and when I get problems I just reinstall. I don't see what the hype is about all these other apps other than skins, which is hardly a good reason seeing as I don't look at iTunes all day long.

Working with third-party apps really isn't the best option when you have a perfectly fine app for it already.

My advice here is to just fucking get a new account on your computer and reinstall iTunes.

*clears throat*

I don't give a rat's ass about what people, people like YOU for that matter, say about perfectly fine software. People like you just HAVE to find something wrong with what the giant corporations offer. Just shut the fuck up and enjoy what works.

*sips water

And YOU cannot speak for the millions of users like me who are completely satisfied with using iTunes as it is.

This isn't even something big like an OS, hell, IT'S JUST A FUCKING MUSIC PLAYER. How much more can you improve? It plays music. Decent. It has a handy search bar which can zip through my entire library of 8000 songs in less than a second. Good. When I link my iPod up to it it works perfectly and organization of not just music, but TV shows is easy. FREAKING AWESOME.

*takes a breath mint*

What is it that other players have to offer? What, a better skin? Oh sure, fine, be the freaking eyewhore you are. Lemme see, conversion shit? WHO THE FUCK NEEDS THAT PILE OF BULLCRAP OTHER THAN IDIOTS LIKE YOU?

iTunes is perfectly fine for the average consumer. There's no fucking reason to mess around with the hassle third party apps (Which I have tried more than once) offer when you can just GO WITH WHAT WORKS.

*lets out a huge sigh and steps down*

I don't even have to say anything.

Something inside me makes me want to side against Invidious as a general rule, but I've got nothing bad to say about iTunes myself, except maybe this:

Quote
Back in the late 90s, everyone used Real Player. Then those cocks at Real Network got greedy, and tried to get their application to take over your entire PC, and people stopped using it. Same thing is happening with Quicktime now. You can't install Quicktime anymore unless you download bull[Expletive Deleted] iTunes. This section was supposed to be longer, but I couldn't even install iTunes so I could bitch about it.

I use Amarok and it destroys the ass of basically everything else. Not that I'm going to go about defending it.

I can't believe you're actually serious

I mean

why do you keep trying dude

I said

You can't speak for the millions of satisfied users each of those apps hold nor can you speak for the millions dissatisfied with iTunes

and nothing you can say will ever change the simple truth of those words. It's just a simple fact that people aren't always better off "going with what works". The whole topic isn't worth seriously discussing with you because you never take this stuff seriously. If you actually care, which you don't, then you could google up stuff like "why I hate itunes" and "itunes sucks". Clearly it's not "perfectly fine" because if it was then we wouldn't be here in the first place idiot because gre dork wouldn't have posted about having problems with itunes. and us guys like Athlon and I who aren't stupid sheep like you are going to recommend some alternate apps given the chance, like this thread. It would be wrong not to. That's the truth and you know it. Now take a pill and shut up. Please.

The thing is, all it installs is Quicktime and iTunes. Nothing else. And you can simply uninstall Quicktime if you don't use it. It's nothing like Real Player.
