Click Start Select Run Type in: cmd A 32 bit window will open type in: ipconfig That will tell you your LAN IP address Now, if you want to change that, which will only affect everything behind your Router, you have to access your router. To do this, you have to find out how to access your router settings. I suggest calling the company who sold you the router. I use Linksys and to access my settings I open a browser and type in 192.168.1.1 and enter in the username and password (which I believe is admin and admin). You can then change settings there. Now on the other hand, if you want to change your IP address that is assigned to you when you connect to the internet (and which affects everything outside your LAN or local area network) you must contact your ISP. If you are using dial up, you are normally assigned a new IP address everytime you connect to the internet (that is why AOL users have so many problems, because they all work off the same "pool" of addresses) On the other hand, if you have an ISP like Comcast, then you are stuck with your IP address. I have no idea how DSL assigns IP addresses, so if you have DSL (I already went over Cable and Dial Up) I would contact your ISP. For reference - ISP: internet service provider
