Dev C++ compiler sucks. It takes to long to compile bigger projects. Please don't use it.
Use GCC if you want a free "real" compiler.Wink

Only my own experience. I've been programming C++ for 5years and in the beginning i used DEV C++. It worked out ok in the beginning when i wrote "Hello World" applications and other simple programs. But as soon as i started to dig deeper into C++ i realized that Dev was hopeless.
Dev is okay for newbies.
But the taste is different for different people.
