I take it you used meh planets guide. Too many stars though, I only make the amount 20, then go to Image>adjustments>brightness/contrast. Then I change the brightness to -70, and the contrast to 70. SMI taught me this, so credits to him...

1) Much less stars. 2) Do not motion blur the planets. 3) Extrude the planet, then move it to the side of the screen, not the other way around. 4) Look for a sun tutorial.
