Re: [darkdemon] More from my class...warning?*UPDATED* 3/25/08 [In reply to] Can't Post

When I got back for the new semester (we have 2 semesters in one school year because of block scheduling) I just wanted to work on something quick cause my teacher can quit his bitching to all the freshmens. Keep in mind that nearly every "good" site for renders is blocked, and no I don't stinkin' feel like putting some on my thumb drive, or email myself some renders. So I searched stuff that I liked, and tried Naruto. This is best the best I could come up with, I didn't feel like working on it anymore. here it is:

I kinda likey dis one, not because I like guild wars, I just like how it looks. :)

This one is just brushes except for the background, which is just this huge flower, and the middle a pic of a heart. It was valentines at the time, so I tried doing a little somethin'

I finally found this awesome picture online, so it built up my inspiration again...? sorta. YA, so I really took my time on this one, but then again I slacked, the bottom middle [Expletive Deleted] really pissed me off, so I just left it like that. There was so many ways I could have left the render, which I should have saved all separate. The cutout effect was my favorite though. o.o

Oh and yeah, these are super big so I guess image[Expletive Deleted] decided to resize all of them.

This is, out of all the LPs in this thread, the best, but this is how you can improve on it. You were going for a vector look, which is working, but what you want to do is make all of the 5/6 layers of the vector on the girl have fine lines. The jagged edges do not work with the background, but the shades do look nice. Also, the grass, or whatever you were trying to make above the shoulders should be behind the subject(s). It looks, as it is, like there is something growing out of her (their) shoulder(s). Yet, still, where the shoulders come together should be right in the center of that center background line, and if you would merge them just before they drop off at the connecting point, it would make things much more fine. Having done these few things, leave the skull in the center as is, and it would look very nice.

I disagree. I hate images using the same exact image reversed. It just looks thrown together. Maybe if it was a guy paired with the chick, it'd work, but not that one.

Thanks for the advice ^^. About that picture... I sorta gave up on it because I've been working on it so long once, and all of the sudden, photoshop cut off on me, It was way better than what it looks like now, so yeah. Why didn't I do it again? Well, thats the thing with me, I never remember what I do with pictures, I duplicates and mix all sorta of effects, its crazy...when some people can just follow a few steps to probably get the same thing I did, not me though. I make like 100 layers when I had the same crap 90 layers ago.

The one with the BMW is quite nice, but the F1 car in the second is bothering me. It just ... doesn't belong. The third and fourth are just great.

And then there was silence.
