I like V1 for the fact that it does have the color, which definitely makes it look better. However I also like how much you made Master Chief's visor stand out in V3. Try that effect with a different picture (where it'll actually look better in grayscale) and you'll have an awesome sig coming.

Try a version where everyhting is black and white except MC, instead of jsut his visor.

V3 simply because it makes the visor pop out...

I do agree that you should try doing the same type of thing with a render that would look better on a gray scale...
