First, the ideal Signature is 500 pixels wide x 80 pixels in height. Second, duplicate your background layer, play with it, repeat, repeat, repeat, until it looks nice. Third, make one focus point, on the left side of the image, that works in syc with your avatar. Fourth, make a layer over that, that evens out the edges of your focus, so it doesn't look like it was just slammed in the picture and left there to rot.
