Okay, I finally got VB ( who would have known it was included with MS FrontPage 2003? ), and I want to make a simple menu to open files.

How would I go about opening C:\the rift.doc for example? And I mean this as in a command button.

I think you use the shell command or soemthing.. lettme looked real quick...

EDIT: Yes, the syntax is this:

Shell(pathname[,windowstyle])

window style being minimized, maximized, etc...

you just put: Shell("C:\the rift.doc")
that should work

ok, nobody would notice f I posted without replying to anybody, so I was wondering if any1 had a VB6 download that actually works, because the ones on this site don't...
