If you're looking to make revenue with Adsense, you really want to create a niche site. A niche site is a website that is very specific. Those sites tend to make more money with Adsense. I must warn you - niche sites take time and planning. Before I would even advertise, I would spend at least a month on the one website. I suggest devoting all your time to the niche site. If done properly, your niche site would see exponential growth. With the advent and popularization of communities such as StumbleUpon and Dig, your website may see instant popularity. It really is a crap-shoot. The key to popularity and income (specifically gross revenue) is original content. If you are also going for SEO, you must create new GOOD content at least once a week. I can not stress this. I did not cover all of the aspects of creating a site that makes money, but those are general outlines. (A small note - it is extremely hard to create and run a website. I have tried multiple times to create a successful website, and I think I have finally made it. To take a look at my website growth, one must look at my income. I made $5.00 in May, $20.00 in June, and in this month I have made $40.00 - $11.00 today alone) Now, ideas for some niche sites that would generate some revenue, assuming you advertise correctly. Humor - Mock Newspaper stories Political commentary with humor twist Community Based - Forum for schizophrenics Discussion for weight loss for college students (watch yourself for legality and liability) Those are just two genres and two examples of niche sites (not the best examples) So, in conclusion, find a very specific topic and create a good website on it. That is the key to generating revenue. (Google niche sites for more information) --For reference - SEO = search engine optimization
