I put several formats up for a file because some people like the quality more. <--They get to choose.
Who cares what speed you get out of it when almost nobody uses dial up.
Space/size is not an issue either (on my server).

You can get 100% quality with compressed formats too. You can have a JPEG, PNG, or GIF with no quality loss at all, if you just adjust the settings in a proper image program. BMP shouldn't be used on the web in any circumstances. BMPs are useless for pretty much everything except for data in programs where the computer has to read the raw pixels as fast as possible. BMP + Internet = No.

Thanks, I know about Adobe but I will not get those untill I take the class that requires them due to the price. I get them through student loans alot cheaper if they are intended for education use. I will save alot of cash that way.
