Just take out one of KiddRunes things and edit it enough for it to look like yours.

I know, but I ment more by using peoples stuff in order to see the code. I remember going on Google, and using it's code just to add a search function. Heh.

Edit: It didn't work anyway though. :P

Before doing anything, I suggest reading this:

http://www.aksi.net/website-design-tutorial2.htm

One of my biggest mistakes when I started making
websites was that I created crappy web pages.

And like stated - never steal other peoples designs.
Even when I install open source stuff, I change the
design to my own to make it look like its mine.

Yea, that's ripping.

No one actually types up everything in their page. They always copy something, and edit what they need to since it's already written...

I stated that when I install open-source stuff. It really isn't ripping since I am allowed to copy it.

If it's open source you're allowed to use it, not rip it.

Re: [Sami_Taker] Make my own website template? [In reply to] Can't Post

Well, first, ripping is usually associated with music and videos.
Second, if it is open source, you are allowed to install it without changing it. I think you are misunderstanding the meaning of open source. If someone open sources a web site design or some PHP, coldfusion, java, or other type of code, you are allowed to use an exact copy of it. Hence all the sites with tons of FREE web templates and such. Now if the open source license requires me to give a link back to the site (I won't normally use this, because it will look more professional for me to make my own stuff) I will link back.

I just find it offensive to say that when I spend hours editing some open source PHP files to create a game, someone says that it is ripped.

I apologize for this bump but I can't help it.

Oh my [Expletive Deleted]ing god. Are you a complete jackass? How the hell do you expect the [Expletive Deleted]ing site to get there? I write all of my HTML web sites through MY OWN KNOWLEDGE. I DON'T SIMPLY COPY AND PASTE SOMEONE ELSE'S CODE. You my friend are now the jackass of the year.

That's actually mainly what I mean, but I mean that they don't always make the whole thing by themselves, purely anyway. I don't mean Copy and Paste by the way, it's more of the prior knowledge thing. But yeah, I think I'm probably just too lazy to type up the whole thing all the time.
