New forum Can't Post

Well me, Bleak, Java Code and Deadmeat have started a forum today. Right now it's pretty empty so It'd be appreciated if you could join and start posting Cool

http://runetips.fgfhost.com

Running on vBulletin at the moment. We plan on getting a website up to go with it, with guides and stuff.

If anyone uses vBulletin and knows of some good addons I should get, let me know. I might be installing a point/shop system similar to that of fagex.net soon.

Any comments are appreciated. And go ahead and give it a rating while you're at it Cool

The host we had was [Expletive Deleted].

I'm trying to find another site to host it on at the moment.

did you finish it? You should add some background music. If that is possible.

Background music? That's what makes websites unbearable. No.

Well, here's a small review for the people who are on the edge of their feet deciding whether to join or not.

May 06, 2006:
http://www.runetips.fgfhost.com

RuneTips, a new forum started by our own FGF members has been recently released and already with 24 members. The forum itself has an appealing look with a mixture of class. The same complaint from FGF, no picture signatures, was made possible by the Administration of RT. The community itself is forming as we read, and the place is really coming up.

  • Pros:
  • Picture signatures. We can finally have our own pictures in our signatures, which is something FGF has wanted for a long time.

  • The arcade! The arcade from RT is amazing. The arcade comprises of 17 GAMES which all have it's unique appeal. Members of the forum are already leaving their marks on RT history by setting highscores. GAMES such as Curveball, Tetris, Smack the Rabbit, 3D SuperBall, UFO Shootout, and more make up an amazing collection of classic and simple GAMES that can lead to hours of fun on those dull forum days. RT even has it's own RPG - Inferno. Words cannot describe the addiction, you'll have to try it yourself.

  • The community itself is amazing. I haven't seen flaming as of yet, and the RT staff is doing a great job keeping out the spammers/scammers. I would recommend this community for my 5 year-old nephew. Keep in mind, the community is MATURE, so don't expect to barge in and act insane and expect to receive praise.

  • Cons:
  • Domain. One of the only essential components that the site needs itself is it's very own domain. http://www.runetips.fgfhost.com can look a bit unattractive and thus this community needs either a .com or a .org to shine.

  • The forum is a little too much like FGF. I think the idea of RT was to build a RuneScape help site/forum and create a thriving community where anybody can go to let the load off. In my opinion, the site needs to become a little more non-FGF, and get rid of the Consoles forums, along with the PC GAMES forums.

All in all, point blank, RT is very attractive and you should receive much enjoyment from being in the presence of such great staff members and forum members. I rate this site as 8/10, and recommend it to anybody who is looking for a new place to bloom.
