Or whatever the hell their name is screwed me over! I try to go to the site and it says 'the domain name might be for sale by its owner'????

You more likly made it on a FREE host using phpbb, then after you had it the site went under.

PHPbb is just a board software, they don't host boards. Your probably on a site that hosted sites using PHPbb, make sure your using the correct URL. It probably shouldn't be anything like mysite.phpbb.com or phpbb.com/my site, Because it would be hosting on PHPbbb.com and you would not be on the correct site. What link are you using?

I had a good site on that host too. Yeah, it's dead. If you want to get your site up again on a better one, try awardspace.com if you don't mind installing phpBB yourself. If you do that, it's better because 1; it's a reliable host that's been around for years, and 2; you have access to the source files via FTP so you have total control to back it up, add mods, attach another site, etc.

Too bad mine was a school forum with 80+ users. Now I have 2.
