I find this all a bit odd really, this is happening more and more often, yet my school seems to ignore it. Teachers are forced to not discuss what happens in any of them, even after we had a near shooting in my school. Well... Not a shooting, but people came into my school with lead pipes with intentions to "beat the [Expletive Deleted] out of people". The scary thing for us, was that it took the police 3 hours to take us out of the school. They also had a very slow response and it problem took at least 20 minutes before they arrived. What makes it even worse, is that our regional police force was obviously busy, which is why it took them so long to respond. They demanded the national police force didn't come, even though the regionals had no idea what was even going on yet. My best friends mom is a national police officer, and she showed up against what they said, because if it would have been a serious event many would have died before regionals would have been able to step foot inside the school. Since than my school has done nothing to increase security, or try to make students feel safe. They have actually done the opposite. Last year we used to have 3 police officers which roamed the halls, this year, they removed them. Also as I said before, we are not aloud to talk about any of the recent school shootings in class. I live in Canada, so I have less to worry about, but it seems school shootings are just going to keep happening more and more often. These people want to go down in history, they are nothing but little peices of [Expletive Deleted] that will go no where in life, and they hate there life so they do this type of thing. Can you avoid it? No, its impossible. More and more people are running around thinking about doing stuff like this. I don't blame bands, I don't blame GAMES, I don't blame school. It's me and you that are causing this, we're bullying more people than ever, making people feel like losers or outcasts, all to make ourselves feel "cooler". The only way they will stop occuring in my opinion is if teens and youth begin to understand that we are the cause for all of these, and to treat everyone with respect, even if they are weird.
