I wouldn't know. SMI left a little after I joined FGF, and came back recently. During the time he was gone I heard much negativity about him, but as usual, I didn't believe until I saw for myself. I don't know what to think, but I personally don't care unless he comes across me in posts.

But this isn't exactly about how funny you are. Funny is but a factor of it. You don't have to be funny, all you have to do is not be serious all the time. Then you're good. Read the Philosophy. If you agree with that, and you keep it throughout (and it really isn't hard. Be serious when you need to be, and be joking when it's the right time to be is a brief summary of it), then you may join. If you don't keep it after joining, you get kicked, and hopefully that doesn't matter much to anyone including you.

i remember when i first joined he was like "how do i play RS? i just bought a file 'she mines it'" (SMI) then after he got better he was like "this is gay" then the GFX forum got put up, and he owned all them noobs with his art and after the gimp was introduced he started charging cuz he is good. then i remember when he turned 18 Laugh

that was funny. but now he like "WTF? why are you talking about me?"

so i vote yes let him in he owns the noobs with sarcasm and cruel jokes!
