Our opinions differ. Thanks, never noticed that. If you don't reply at least read this. Nobody asked you to do anything "constantly" or "on a whim". However, we would appreciate it if you did some things in a shorter time period than... let's say... 6 months? Or in some cases, 11? I told you many times - if you can't do something, don't say you will. Don't tell me you are going to "look into" something that I tell you is important and then let it go for a week or longer. There are several posts in the veterans forums that broke out into a huge mess and the ones in the public forum in particular led to destabilization on a much wider scale... when they should have been dealt with when you were informed (and acknowledged them). Those are STILL there, the damage has already been done, and you did nothing about any of those incidents. I remember one time when I told you that something needed to be deleted right away, and I got a response back saying "I will keep it in mind" and absolutely nothing was ever done about it. We don't expect you to constantly be here and fulfill our every request, but a good admin usually deals with an "urgent" request in less than a month and a "casual" request in less than a year or two.
If you would like to fund some changes I will look at what we can do - otherwise why is there a complete lack of respect ans gratitude for this service? This sounds familiar... ah yes, the complacent mother - "I gave birth to you and put a roof over your head. If you have a problem buy your own house." Indeed you are the reason we are here. That does not exempt you from criticism or justify months and months of procrastination. If you're a parent or at least have common sense, you know that kids aren't going to be satisfied with the simple fact that they were born and have a house... I could think of different examples if I tried... but really, by now you should understand why people here are not satisfied with you as an admin. I mean sure, thanks for making the site and we're all happy for you that it's making you loads of cash, but you are still not doing a satisfactory job here. The site's growth is mainly because of its popularity in search engines, not because of you making it good for people - so don't expect to be showered with gratitude. You obviously need someone else to help you with your job... Perhaps you would be generally respected more if you were more apologetic about not being able to do as much administrative work as a normal, good forum needs, instead of acting like you are doing everything and calling your community ungrateful. I am grateful for what you do do but I am sick of your attitude towards it.
