     Internet Arguments.

Who really wins? When you walk away from a PC, and a forum argument, can you take that to work and get a raise? Can you take it to school and get an A? Can you take it to the Government and get an exemption from your taxes? Will it put you in office?

Internet fights are just going to cause you un-needed stress, and take time away from other things.

Have you ever walked away from the PC, and thought about someone making you angry, because of a topic online? Has it ever caused you a bit of sleep? Maybe some time away from your family?

There are a lot of better things we could be doing, or should I say more proactive things we could be doing with our time than trying to make someone else feel inferior on the internet. I learned that, after a long time of arguing with TazG, then I stepped back into reality, and realized that everything I did online...was for nothing. I have never met any of you guys, and I probably never will. The only thing I ever accomplished on these forums, back then, was stressing myself out, and giving myself a headache.

It would be nice to see people...like the internet used to be. A place to visit, say something funny, and those who didn't think it was funny, didn't talk about it. if someone makes a Gangster topic, then the people who can relate to that, would say something, and no one would stop to insult the people who could relate to that...instead they would go to a topic that they relate to, and talk amongst those people.

That's my two cents. Go ahead, put your piece in. I'll read what people have to say, but I'm not going to take any insults to heart, so I'll save you guys the trouble. If you don't like me, that's your choice, whatever. Just try to keep your opinions of me personal, and hate me in your minds, please. I think everyone is tired of seeing people arguing, straight, for the last few years.

Internet fights are just going to cause you un-needed stress, and take time away from other things. Many forums I've had Internet fights. They've never, ever affected me in normal activities of life.

Have you ever walked away from the PC, and thought about someone making you angry, because of a topic online? Has it ever caused you a bit of sleep? Maybe some time away from your family? No.

I have never met any of you guys, and I probably never will. The only thing I ever accomplished on these forums, back then, was stressing myself out, and giving myself a headache. You should learn to not take unserious things seriously. Not insulting, but when I look at a forum with a bunch of kids or semi-teenagers, I don't see why we should even care about what happens. Even if someone manages to actually win a fight.

Why, though? We've been like this for a while. Just before the Athrin and Taz rule thing, just after Nova turned into Pheylan... But it was boring! Everyone agreed! I'm not the only one who says that.

That's my two cents. Go ahead, put your piece in. I'll read what people have to say, but I'm not going to take any insults to heart, so I'll save you guys the trouble. I think everyone is tired of seeing people arguing, straight, for the last few years. I like you. I disagree with your opinions, but I can tell you're trying to be as respectful as possible. So read what I've said.

Internet arguments are as valid as arguments face-to-face with someone, just without the fear of physical interaction.

If you sit behind a school and have a fist fight, can you take that to work and get a raise? Can you take it to school and get an A? Can you take it to the Government and get an exemption from your taxes? Will it put you in office? No, but there's high chance you'll get in a lot more trouble from an argument like that.

Well, if you think about it with less metaphorical terms, preventing an Internet fight isn't going to give you any of those either.

Some intense arguments cause a type of "high". Which in many cases can increase your adreneline. Some people like it, I for one always enjoy a good fight every once in awhile. It lets you get everything out. When your having your little ideal with someone else it also tingles a certain part of your brain, created with the adreneline rush it gave you that makes you think harder, and process more things. Sometimes making you sound smarter.

Wait, Internet Debating or Internet Fighting?

Each time you get in a fight, you learn something. The internet is just another means of communication, such as on the phone or face to face talking. If you have a big fight with someone face to face, you feel pretty angry and pissed off. You might leave that group of people and not be their friends anymore, or just put it behind and carry on.

If you get into an argument on the internet, it's pretty much the same thing. You get angry, you might leave the forums, or put it behind you and carry on posting.

This forum has probably directly influenced the way I think about things, each time TazG makes a fool out of us, we learn to use a little more logic, and a little more thought. I have learned to think things through a little further, and not hastily rush into an argument with no artillery. I use more logic now that I have been embarrassed multiple times. I don't see how you can say 'The forum isn't reality'. Yes it is. You are talking to real people. I am sure people here value your opinion of them as much as you value theirs. This is just a contained environment, like a school. If you fall down the caf stairs, chances are that no one outside your school will know about it. If you... assume that moderators are tyrants for banning you, chances are that reputation won't carry on through to another forum.

If you are stupid here, you are probably stupid in real life, every time you communicate with someone you should ake something out of waht they think of you and use to build your character.

Not that you should totally rely on peoples opinions here or anywhere for that matter, it's just that any form of communication is just as valid as a face to face for me.

^Same goes for debating except minus the anger.

bye.

And another thing that certainly deserves a post of it's own, because I'm on that argument high that Bleak was talking about, feeling all smart and stuff.

SMI put that beautifully. As I write this, Xavier is yelling at Killer who is yelling at us. What we need is a lot less yelling. Less people bitching about people, and when the bitching does occur, make sure the person deserves it 100%, and really put your back into it. A lot less complaining would make this forum a million times better. I really enjoy the graphics forum because everyone is USUALLY helpful, cheery, and considerate. 90% of the time it's about the art, not about the people who made the art. I go to the Official Soldat forums on occasion, and you NEVER see anybody having a big shout match, everyone is like minded and interested in posting about the game, instead of posting on how much the person who posted before them is an idiot. I posted a crappy sketch of a map, and all I got was positive feedback and tips. Of course, this post is hypocritical in itself, essentially bitching about bitching.

EDIT: I READ IT BLEAK, THIS POST TOOK AWHILE.

EDIT #2: Also, I believe Xavier and Killer are awesome people, but they just so happened to be fighting ATM.
