     Veterans.

Fellows, comrades, friends, associates, subordinates, superiors, and idiots: It is painfully apparent that you all lack a great deal of knowledge on the subject of "Veterans". Therefore, I have come to enlighten you on the subject. Let us begin our journey to understanding, shall we?

First off all, let me clearly define what it is to be a veteran on FGF: An experienced user, whom has been at FGF for a great deal of time and has shown a great deal of maturity and wisdom towards dealing with the forum and all things associated with it. That is what a veteran is. A veteran is not someone who has "been here for a long time". Time is a very marginal part of being a veteran. It should be required that you have spent at least five months here before even thinking of applying to be a veteran, but that is not the only quality we look for. You must also show that you have an understanding of this forum. And most importantly you need wisdom, discretion, and common sense. The veterans are the elite. The best of the best.

Moving on, not everyone will become a veteran. It is a commonly held thought that if you stay here long enough you will eventually become a veteran. While that is currently true in our sick and degenerated state, it should not be. And as long as I continue to post here I will make sure that this is abolished. Not everyone is meant to be a veteran. Only a select few. A very select few. You can't come and spam your way up to enthusiast, then hang out for a month and even expect to get your poll accepted. Polls should be posted no matter what, but this is a different matter. Being a veteran is more than just having spent a month here. And once these changes are in place, not many people will ever have a hope of getting it.

Sadly enough, today's veterans are nothing but a result of the horrendous place FGF has become. We have become so ignorant and we no longer have any common sense. We make people veterans because "They are nice." or "They made a few guides.". The truth is, you can be the nicest guy on earth and make every guide that this forum has ever had, but it doesn't count for anything. We need experienced and wise veterans of high caliber. We cannot continue this self-destructive path of voting "Yes" on every poll we see because they are our friends or they are nice. This is hurting us far worse than any "elitist bastards" ever could.

The main problem we struggle with today is that with all of these crappy veterans generate even more crappy veterans. The more undeserving wretches we vote into veteranship, the more "impulsive yes voters" we get. and this only expands our population of idiots. It is a horrible cycle that will only end once people get common sense and an understanding of what a veteran is.

So before you complain about how we always vote no because we hate all of you. We don't hate anyone. The veterans that actually deserved it are voting "No" because you don't deserve it.

I hope some of you can see more clearly because of this thread.
