Uh huh. You seem pretty stable in your opinion. BUT CONSIDER THIS. Everytime Rowling has unleashed a "hidden villain" she has always done it by surprising us. Quirrel. Moody. Why would she all-of-a-sudden give us a clear insight of Snape's true intentions and remove all the tension? In the sixth book (I recently read it again, so it's clear in my mind), Hagrid tells us that he hears Dumbledore scolding (or something) Snape because Snape doesn't want to do something anymore. That maybe Dumbledore is taking him for granted. The obvious thing here would be that he doesn't want to spy on Malfoy. Or is it that he doesn't want to kill Dumbledore anymore? I think it's going to be one of those "surprise surprise" things. I also heard a rumor that Dumbledore has a horcrux, but I highly doubt it.
Eschew obfuscation, espouse elucidation.
