Um ok heres a topic that is very contrevershial.Should abortion be illigeal in the United States?I think that it should because 1 it will cut down on teen sex 2 if you don't want the baby it can at least live and be put up for adoption and 3 I think that abortion is murder.In my opion abortion shouldn't even be an option ,and abortion used to not be soccially acceptable in society and now its a regular thing.

I believe that abortion should be illegal. If the mom really doesn't want the baby she can just give to a foster home or something like that. Think of what that baby could become? What if she aborts the next Einstein?

What if she doesn't? You should consider the psychological impact having a baby has one ones mind. Think for a second about having your own baby. Your own baby. Made of your own flesh and blood. How could you give it away to the System so easily? Many would rather consider ending the baby's life before it starts than to let it endure a lifetime of bad conditions. And when it grows up think of it coming back to find you...

Also, being pregnant is a very obstructive thing. While pregnant, it is impossible for a mother to function in society properly. Imagine being pregnant to the point where you have to take maternity leave or are expelled/suspended from school. Imagine the amount of unwanted attention you would get.

Well think a second of killing a baby acutally a priest from my church went on a retreat for women who experienced abortion.There were many of them and they were all extremlly guilty ,and some people go suicide because of abortion.Also this point was allready made but you may be killing the next genius but you are allways murdering an infant abortion is the same thing as capital murder.

That's like saying you should make masturbation, or menstruation for that matter, illegal on the ground that the sperm or the egg could have the genes for the next world genius. That is, of course when you ignore the fact that genes play a very little part in a person, it's all about the environment one grew up in, and in many places where abortion is used that environment is not stable at all either economically nor emotionally. How do you expect anyone of significant importance grow up like that?

And then there's the fallacy of actually weighing the value of a human life over another, but I'm not going to get into that.

Actually, you're not letting the fetus to grow into a conscious entity. It's been scientifically proven that babies actually aren't self-aware before the age of 9 months, making them little more than livestock(from the purely scientific perspective).

Saying that abortion is murder is the same as saying masturbation and menstruation is also murder.

Even if we did outlaw abortion that still wouldn't stop the Day After pill, so abortion has really little to do with preventing teen pregnancies. Infact outlawing abortion would make more issues. You keep bringing up the "Einstein" possibility, think of this then:
A 4.2 GPA girl who is destined for the stars gets a little careless one night and gets pregnant. She doesn't even remember if she used a condom or not so she doesn't take the Day After pill due to side-effects. When she gets pregnant, she can't go to school anymore and her life is ruined.
Should lives such as that be ruined by one stupid mistake?

An "Einstein" is least likely to come from a mother who wants abortion. I'll say it again, it's already been proven that genetics play a very small role in who you are. It's all about the environment you've grown up in. There's examples of identical twins who've grown up in different families, one turning out to be a genius with several doctorate degrees whilst the other becoming a janitor at a train station.

I will be giving a speech on the Neg side of this to hopefully teach the retards of the world, who watch The Colbert Report, not understanding one word except "George" and "Bush" and "stupid".

First of all, I define the "House" in this debate as the Oriental nations. I define Indians as socially psychopathic weirdos out of nowhere. I define Asians as anyone from the continent, Asia.

My first contention in this debate is that India is in Asia. Yep, you heard me people. It may be at the butt of Asia. It may be the brown part of the rest of the place. But it's still Asian. Ask the Chinese if you don't believe me. How else do they get their easy supply of Opium?

My second contention in this debate is that India is not a middle eastern country. Some of us ask, if India is not Asian, then what is it? They give us an answer. Middle Eastern. K, people. Iran's Middle Eastern. Israel's Middle Eastern. Now, India is not even close Africa. It isn't even in the East! It's in the South! It's Middle Southern! Otherwise known as, the "butt".

My third contention on the matter is that the House is freakin' crazy if they think that only Orientals are Asian. Have you seen Kazakhstan?! Russia?! The English. There was virtually no trade between China and India before that. I'm not really too sure as I'm making this up as I go along but I'm fairly certain that Opium was not introduced into China until the rich white bois from England established their trading monopoly.

You don't really have feelings for a baby when you haven't even seen it yet. But by the time you do, it's hard to just give it away. What you people have to understand is that abortion is much more useful for the poor. The poor who could not raise a child. The child lives a life of Hell. The parents live lives of Hell. It's not really worth it.
