Is it necassary? Can't Post

In the English language, is C truly necessary? There are two sides of this argument. The C in the English language make both the /k/ and /s/ sound. It has no definite sound of its own. However, what about combinations like ch?

This isn't about if it will be removed, its just about is it really necessary. So nothing like "Yes, it would be a hassle to change everything.

I say no, it is needed for other sounds such as /ch/.

I after E accept after C. That's just one of many things that the letter C holds together. C is glue.

Normally, when a person begins a debate, they want to change something. Not bring up a whole thing and say it's not right.

The English language is insanely over-complicated for no good reason whatsoever as far as spelling and grammar go. That's why it's so perfect.

This has got to be one of the most pointless arguments ever. But I like the randomness of it.

Because the letter "c" is used in the "ch" words, it has a purpose. I guess. I never thought I'd ever debate the letter "c".
