Is there a god? Can't Post

I believe there is a god, but I think the bible is somewhat fake in a lot of points. Stories to help us follow along with the commandments. But, again a lot of it is real.

This thread is not about Jesus. Or other beliefs. If you want to use those things as an example then fine.

Please don't flame people for their beliefs either. That would be very cruel and immature.

Well...I believe in god. I'm not really religious or anything though.

I personally believe in God. I believe that all these things around us couldn't have just poofed into existence. There has to be something controlling it. Yet, I'm not for the whole Religion vs. Science thing either. I mean, seriously, maybe God operates Evolution or something else. And I'm totally for Separation of Church and State.

There's two sides to this debate:
Big boom theory, where all the gases and space matter formed the earth, or the religious side, where god built the earth in seven days. I personally side with the religious side.

Personally, I don't believe that there is a God. I guess I'm just not a religious person. I'll elaborate later.

Actually, that's just the Christian theory on it. I believe that the Big Bang could've happened, but I think it was God Himself who caused it.

I mean seriously, what says that Science has to be contradicting to religion and vice versa?

Or like the story of Cain and Abel, where Cain was punished to live in exile, alone and miserable, and like anybody who relieved him of his pain would suffer punishment ten times worse? That's a cool story. That's probably what's gunna happen if you shun god and stuff.

I think people too often forget that God is not religion but a spiritual bond.

I believe in some kind of higher power, though most of the religions have it wrong.

By the way, that's one helluva description for this forum isn't it?

Some people call me the space cowboy, yeah
Some call me the gangster of love
Some people call me Maurice
Cause I speak of the pompitous of love

First it's BIG BANG Thery, secondly, I believe in the big bang and I believe in god.

Ive seen some of the most hard core athiest get down on their knees and pray to god. Because when it realy gets down to it. Even a 4 year old knows theres such thing as god.

Big bang theory is flawed. How did those massive objects just appear? How did the atoms just exist? How did life just start to bloom?

Re: [Jindrak] Is there a god? [In reply to] Can't Post

The whole IDEA behind a God is technically correct. People worship this guy, and do whatever their religion tells them to do. Most religions follow the whole golden rule which is great, I just don't agree with having to worship an super natural being. People would be much better off just living their lives by such philosophies as the golden rule, instead of worshiping a god, and a by product of that being a accordance with it's ethics.

bye.

Um... By definition, an athiest believes that there is no god... If an athiest gets on their knees to bow to God, THEN they're not an athiest.

This is why I believe that God controlled the Big Bang theory. I don't really believe in any set religion. Just that God controls how things work and Science is what explains how He controls the world.

Eh. I don't know many athiests myself, but I'm sure some people here can disagree with that.

Jabman, everyone, this is where all the arguments just stop.
Religious Believer: Well where did the matter that caused the Big Bang come from?
Scientist: Well where did God come from?
In Unison: They both have always been there!
In Unison: ...crap
