Models. Can't Post

Size Zero models are soon to be banned in England for being too thin. The extra skinny models and becoming role models to teenagers which is causing rates to go up with youngs girls getting Anorexia.

So, the question is, should Size zero models be banned? I'll post my views after a few others have.

If they are going to do that, then the should ban fat people from becoming models too. Nothing is wrong with wanting to look healthy, but when you take healthy too far...

bye.

This is one of those rare issues that I really can't put my finger on what is right. I think they have a point though, if you reduce the amount of insanely slim women that appear in public it's logical to assume that the Anorexia rate will drop.

That and the fact that I've never really found size zero women to be that attractive...

It's funny how we can say that this is logical because of the conformist attitude that everyone carries these days.

If we're going to get anorexic bitches off TV (and we should), let's enforce this.

Some people are beautiful, and others aren't. Fact. The whole banning of size zero models won't drop the anorexia rates, they still have other influences to look at. If we reduce the number of insanely slim women appearing in public, we are just going to start seeing the same ones over and over.

bye.

Brace yourself because Im going to write a frigging essay.

Im going to put my hands up to this, models are becoming too thin which is causing other people to follow them. Models like these should be banned, people say that it won't drop the anorexia rates but I think they will as alot of other people will. Some people can't help getting thin, like some issues are caused by missing home if you've moved away or depression can cause it aswell. But most cases are in fact cause by wanting to be like size zero models. I say if your too thin, don't model, your causing other people pain just to be like you. I dont agree with this at all.
It was a big thing that Kate moss was the perfect size for a model, I cant remember what inch waste she was or what size but they said that she was the ideal size and role model.

Let me just say this, A brazillion model died of Anorexia from not eating enough. She only ate Tomoto's and tissues thats right tissues. Apparently tissues fill people up and doesn't make you put on any weight.

Maybe banning the size zero cloths would help first, then if they would really want to carry on modelling then the size zero models would have to put weight on to fit in the other sizes. I know that might not help since size two isn't that far up from size zero. But it would help a little. *sighs*

I know a couple of people who are size zeros. Hell, this one girl I know is a size 00.

But then again, these are short people. So..

Yeah. They weren't influenced by models. They're just naturally skinny.

Models are supposed to be really pretty. So they have to look healthy, because healthy is pretty. They take healthy a step too far. Fat isn't pretty, neither is toothpick-ism.

I don't think its just the size zero models are the problem here. I think its ALL the models. If you're on Television, and a model, people are gonna think you're beautiful (not speaking for everyone)

Besides..if you're really really skinny, and a model...not everyone is gonna think you're hot.
Some people may go more like:
"Holy crap EW! That bitch is WAAYY too skinny! She needs more MEAT!"

They can't say a "large" amount of girls become anorexic because of models, it could be more to it... like when you see really fat people all the time... you don't want to be like them, so you push yourself as far as you can from it, or someone at school you think is really pretty/hot and you wanna look good, or become like their size... Or maybe when you just go to the mall and you see all these nice dressed rich skinny brats. I think its pretty much anyone who you think is beautiful and want to become somewhat like them.. You can't blame it all on the models.

I doubt these people have actually asked a large amount of girls about what made them anorexic. Anyways, I think it's stupid they're gonna ban size zero models. If you're gonna ban those, you might as well ban all of them and all the skinny kids that look good who go to school to. Yeah. Stick em' for homeschool to. Even if it were the skinny models that are motivating them to become anorexic, they shouldn't be the ones punished for it because some stupid teenage brat got sick from it.

They shouldn't ban them for the anorexic girls...It's probably not healthy to be that skinny in the first place.

Lets ban cheetos too, it's making people fat...Add Mcdonalds to that too.

With the peer pressure of being a model. Anorexia and other eating disorders arises. I don't think the models are the cause of the problem but the society who pushes that thin models are fabulous. In my opinion I don't like skinny models. I would rather have a slim and healthy model. Just to let the youth change their prospective in the model industry. Some countries have fat models too and they are beautiful. Laugh

Anorexia? I thought there was too many fat kids these days and now theres too many skinny ones. This isn't going to affect kids eating habits at all, its just the governments response to all the people moaning about anorexia.
